RPGM - Way of Corruption [v0.23] [Shadow Blade]

Do not recommend. There are way too many texts in the game and too many things that nobody gives a shit about.

The first few steps are okay, you get all the hentai classics, the sexual harassment from a mentor, the pervy health checks, and a defeat scene from bandits. On top of that, you patrol around town and everyone does something pervy to the MC. This is a really solid start.

However, the game soon deviates from that path, and instead inserted many characters and plots that are not sexual in any way. You get a platonic teacher, a pair of receptionist, and MC's dad. Every time I see them, I groan because it's another 30 seconds of word walls and going from one place to another place. These people are neither cool or tantalizing. They go on to capture an assassin with you, and unfoil some conspiracy with the church. None of this is hentai-related. You can cut them out and it'll become a family friendly RPGM game. When you finally get sexual related content, it's scarce, quick, and not at all related to the plot. You can't immerse yourself in the world or sympathize with anyone. It is that bad.

ShadowBlade, the only way you can fix the game is, to scrap all the texts and start over. Stick to the original promise, have the main character live a normal routine, Boss, Doctor, Bandits, and random encounters from the patrol. Nobody cares about Nils or Judith, Nobody cares about the church or the assassin.

Another word of advice, ShadowBlade, play your own game. If a non sexual conversation lasts more than 5 lines, people already spammed that space bar. If a player can go through 30 minutes of your game and not see any NSFW content, your game already failed. In fact, if a player does not receive content every 5 minutes, I don't think it should be on f95.

TL DR - Avoid - Starts really good, but soon It turns into a text simulator after like the 5th/6th quest/event, literally no new scenes for at least 30 minutes just story text and nearly zero sexual content... couldn't get further than quest 22.


This game took a woeful turn from when it first started.
Starts off pretty solid albeit the corruption felt a bit rushed, but then it just completely changes direction and turns into a Novel (not a visual novel or even an adult text novel)

The RPGM is also a weird fit for it there is by far easier and better engines to use. Think only once the RPGM feature was utilized otherwise you're teleporting everywhere to read text.

Art style was pretty good but of course later through the game when you barely see any of it, it looks like it degrades.

I'm not sure if this text only part was fixed after quest 22, as i could see at least 3 events which i had not seen when i extracted the images.

My recommendation to dev is to delete all those useless fetch and text only quests.
In no way whatsoever when i see the next update for this will i even consider putting myself through all that nonsense again.

Hugely disappointed in what should be a top tier game.

This game has amazing potential and ticks all the boxes im looking for as far as content. It is a story driven slow burn corruption game so if you are looking for just a quick fap you should probably just wait until the game is almost done and just check out the scenes. But if you like an interesting story as well as sexy and innocent girls this is a must play. The art is amazing and it even has an option for the girls to be shaved or have pubic hair. The dev puts alot of time into this game to make sure it is quality.

I'm not sure that this project should be a porn game. From what I can tell, the developer has lost interest in both the porn and the game parts. Instead, all of their effort is going into their fantasy story of taking back a city from a religious order that conquered it a few years ago. Not that it's a particularly good story either since it's mainly told through people info dumping all the interesting stuff that happened off-screen. Still, it's what takes up the vast majority of the runtime.

There are moments in the first half where the game threatens to become a decent CG hunter. In places there's some decent buildup to the corruption the title promises and the scenes are generally passable aside from the aspect ratio of the art being off in the "HD" version. However, all the segments that feel like places to hunt for CGs are either barren or so poorly signposted that I wasn't able to find anything after talking to most of the NPCs. Then all the momentum is killed by the long, dull story segments.

To sum it all up, this could be a decent CG hunter if the story got edited way, WAY down, the focus was returned to the corruption the title promises, and the CG hunting areas had the CGs added. However, it's not worth your time right now and I'm not sure if the dev has any intention of doing what's necessary to get there.

Mind you it took me like 30 minutes to reach this point.
No gameplay. Walk from A to B and talk to X.
I don't know how often I have walked the same way back to the HQ to talk to a guy (after changing clothes) only to repeat the same thing like 5 more times.
The few scenes I saw were decent. The art is great.

The huge problem this game has is the terrible pacing and non existent gameplay. Walking to a random point is not gameplay.
It's like a terrible visual novel with annoying 2 minutes breaks inbetween.

Didn't bother reading after quest 10 or so and why should I? The Quest log tells you exactly where to go next.

I like the idea of this game, I like the engine and the ability of the developer to remove grind and make an enjoyable experience.


What I do not like, and this is the reason of 2 stars is:
Combat: honestly nothing frustrate a male with intention of wanking in passing through moronic "combat" simulation. If I want a combat game, brain suggest to look in the specialised game category... (that is not adult game)

Sex.. well that is the really sad part, sex scenes are purely a checkbox exercise, weak representation, few images, swift, soulless.
Sex must be well represented with long series of images and assets.. it is the relief after going up and down between Academy and Guard headquarter.

It seems to be, apart rare exceptions, a modus operandi in all RPGM game.. lack of good sex scenes

There's absolutely no reason for this game to be in RPGM engine. This could have been a visual novel and it would have worked better.

There's no exploration, no combat, no inventory, no stats, no leveling... really, there's nothing except walk from A to B, read dialogue, watch graphics, with an occasional binary choice here and there.

I guess RPGM gives illusion of more content since you have to spend time walking around. Without it, this is half an hour of content max so far. With walking around included, between one and two hours.

The art is ok, not particularly good or bad.
The story is decent I guess, even though the game suffers from too much exposition so far. It might pick up pace later, it's not without potential.

Sex scenes are few and far between, and their quality is... passable. The art is ok, as mentioned, but dialogue in sex scenes is quite mediocre.

So, 2/5 seems fair for the moment (v 0.10), might improve later, if the decision to use RPGM becomes eventually justified by some mechanics, and if the story picks up. With story getting better paced, there may be opportunities for sex scenes to improve.

In reality this actually start out looking like that kind of game, but after 10 - 15 minutes turn into a hour and a half vn with the added chore of running to the flashing points.
"I have no reason to go there yet" as soon as you try to diverge from the main railroad.
Not a too bad story (wich is why it get 2 stars instead of the 1) .


1. this "game" the lack the fundementals of being a "game", rather than an interactive book, or a vn as those are called.
2. as per defininition as a "game", You should be able to fail. if it is just a story that will continue no matter what, that is a novel, not a game (and even some novels have that option. making this less of a game than those.)

3. you should have choices at all!
not an hour and a half of "go to Nils and Judit, talk to the captain or dad, go to the achademy and talk to the professor, back to Nils and Judith" and guess where you are going now?

Its a loop to progress the story, without whatever the player do ever impacting the ressult in the least.

A bit generous to call it that wouldnt you say? 6 scenes? 7? I cant even remember as they were so few and far inbetween.
For 2 hours of gameplay?
the word "constantly" have as different of a meaning to you than to the rest of the world as the word "game" does.

For a start the game is really good, the history and background are clear, and the scene exciting, my only bad point is that's an rpg but it feel more like an VN where the character can move, but as i say, it's just the start

Way too much Conversation

I like the story but I'm starting to dread every time the protag talks to a main character because there is so much text to get through. The dialog box and big font really only has space for one sentence so it feels like at least 100 button presses required whenever anyone starts talking.

If you read it out loud, like a screenplay for a film, an expository conversation like "you need to go to the academy" would be half an hour of talking about why you should or shouldn't go when this is your only choice with an additional half an hour spent on the protag frozen in inner voice monologue just meta-talking about what they're thinking about talking about.

Good premise, good story, good art. Recommend dev takes on the role of a vicious editor and cuts 50% of the dialogue, 80% of inner thoughts, 100% of restating inner thoughts, and 90% of recapping previous events.

This could be a great game. Less conversation is more excitement!

When I did the first patrol I thought this game might be fun! However after playing for over an hour after that it never happened again. In fact over about 2 hours of game play later nothing happened. Just endless text about training in which nothing happens. Walking from the school even though nothing ever happens there. Constantly having the movement speed be reset.

This game is like most Game maker games the buildings are too large. Constant pointless walking between areas with their door purposely made to be as far away as possible. Like your world design is so great that we need to see it even though it just uses premade assets.

There is a ton of dialogue because the creator thinks they are Tolkien or something. If you want to write a novel write a novel. Well some of it is sexual most of it isn't. If you want a police drama with some perverts thinking nasty things perhaps you will enjoy the story.

This game after showing early potential quickly be comes a drag. It's not worth playing until the map is redone and the pointless story points get removed.

A very well written RPGM game with well drawn art.
The way corruption is portrayed is very detailed and avoids some bad traits of most corruption themed games like the pacing:

Nothing so far is rushed and you can notice that the protagonist is gradually becoming naughtier and hornier. A very sympathetic character, even though she is very naive (which in turn makes the corruption process so interesting though). I'm very curious about how this game is going to develop further (especially in terms of her choices, NSFW scenes and the development of the protagonist) and can recommend it to anyone who likes the topics of corruption, tomboys, great writing and great art.

So far it was pretty straightforward, there are two outfits available in the current version (2nd of August, 2021), a police cadet uniform and her regular school uniform. I really do hope that we may get more outfits in the long run. So far the player is also able to choose if her pubic hair is visible or cleanly shaved off.

Definitely a keeper so far, I'm going to continue watching and playing it with every update. Please give it a try if you like one of the aforementioned topics!

The story is good as well as CG's. Few grammatical and typo errors but understandable, as a matter of fact. it's not that big of a deal. I love the option that you have an option for pubic hair or none (a very nice touch).

I hope to see some changes like when you remove the mc's clothes, her avatar, and the tiny character gets naked too. Also, some reactions from random peds if you talk to them naked.

Definitely, be waiting for future updates.

Kudos Shadow Blade

You can see that creator put very much hard work in this project. The artwork is fine too. It could be a good game if it was any fun to play. But you run around huge maps with no interactions other than the story railroads you to. It's just annoying because it takes 95 percent of the playtime. And I don't even think my choices make any impact on the story at all. This whole concept should have been a visual novel and been made in RenPy.

I think this has quality artwork and a good plot to build up on. The developer is active and is consistent in keeping monthly updated about his project which is great in my opinion I'd definitely recommend supporting him on his patreon.

Way of corruption not even close she is too stupid to know what sexual harassment is in a physical exam. This means the corruption will be no fun and too fast. She can't tell when a doctor is molesting her? Might as well say instant corruption as she is too dumb she will believe anything.

It is so early to say where the game will end up but from little i have seen (v 0.03) it has a lot of potential in the form of : beautiful art , different clothes , background story ( but not a long one so it is easy to read ) , pretty protagonist and ZERO ugly as fuck antagonists , explaining the thoughts and opinions of everyone in texts ( developer cares about character development) and having an option to enable or disable the public hair ( you know if he have the time and money he would place a lot of choices in story and many other things ). I did not see anything that would turn someone off if you have no problem with tags of course . RECOMMENDED
