I'm trying to find a way to make a template to put in reviews/posts for me and others to quickly see what the pace of the project is.
=============
A massive rare update should be valued as much as regular mini updates (although I wish my system to also note the regularity, as some people prefer massive and others tiny). Example:
=================
Now comes the sizes of the updates. Given art is hart to quantify as well as grind, I also need help with above. 1000 renders for a game where the renders are on screen for like 5/10 seconds compared to VNs where they are for 2 are a lot different. I just thought about for a while and below is what I came up with
"Total time played / Median playthrough time per big update/ Median playthrough time per small update"
As I tend to skip a lot in VNs an example will be 1 hour/10 minutes/None. For stuff like RPGs it's going to be 5 hours/1 hour/10 minutes, and it's pretty easy to judge depending on the person their review and how they play, especially if they add a note
==================
The updates can be described below the above descriptions and especially how many updates you would wait personally before playing again. I would personally play every update of Heavy five mentioned above, but wait to play another VN for 2+ years like Summertime Saga. Or I'm a big fan of Fate of Irnia and updates take about 5 minute to play through and come out every month or so ( ) so I play every one of them.
=====================
Example of such a review
Our Red String
Update Period: ~7 months per big update/none for small
Total/Big/Small: 3 hours/30 minutes/-
Frequency of play: Every big update
Update type: Continuation of all stories, as this is a linear VN
Opinion on updates: Pretty good for a game like this, but the last 7 month one was a bit too long compared to previous ones
Personal notes: I wait for walkthrough/walkthrough mod to update and release and tend to skip through convos in general. I have 2 saves for 2 different playthroughs that I keep updated
Any help will be apreaciated

- Tales of androgyny - Weekly small ones
- Heavy Five- ~Yearly big one
