This is indeed the case! I have cwebp 1.0.2 installed.My guess is you've installed a newer cwebp on your Linux box

XnConvert is free and offers a lot convert optionsSuggestion - download the latest cwebp and use that instead of the one included in this. They improved the compression.

The tool is pretty outdated and uses an old compressor. You better switch over to xnconvert, which is a free batch converter using the latest compression tool for webp.it used to work. Now it instantly closes after I input the number of threads.
