Weird freeze issues in games

Hello,

I'd never thought I'd be asking for tech support here, but there's a first for everything I guess.

Anyway, I've been having some weird issues with games aquired here. A game will seem frozen (image is still) but will still be running. I could wait for years and it will not unfreeze, but if I alt tab or press the Windows key and go back to the game, it will unfreeze and continue running normally. If I were to click something while the screen is frozen the game will register and handle my inputs normally as if it is not frozen. It can happen every 10 seconds, or once every few minutes, doesn't depend on the game, seems random.

It doesn't happen with non porn games hence why I'm asking here and not elsewhere. I have playerd over 100 games that I have purchased on various platforms. I will play in either windowed borderless or fullscreen and have never had this issue in any non porn game. Same goes for probably around the same amount of pirated games. AAA, indie, doesn't matter. So, it only happens in porn games, it only happens when games are running fullscreen or borderless fullscreen. I believe it's mostly (or even exclusively) in Unity games, but fuck me if I remember at this time. Will update if I remember anything else.

Latest versions of everything, updated regularly. Nothing overheating, nothing underclocked or overclocked. Tried using some program that keeps track of what is in focus, game doesn't lose focus. Tried a keylogger, no keypresses detected (other than my own). Ran antivirus, nothing found. Nothing in task scheduler or autoruns that seems fishy. No other weird stuff with PC. Don't want to reinstall windows to test since it'd take me fucking days with the amount of shit I have on it.

Running:
Win 11
5800X3D
32GB
6800XT

Did you check Task Manager and gauge how much memory usage is being utilized by the Unity application? Maybe if the Unity app is eating up a lot of memory that could explain these weird input non-detection issues and resources being hogged up.

Did you update your CPU drivers in the device manager? I've personally heard weird/unusual stories of some Unity games eating up a metric TON of CPU resources on one's device.....

What you're asking me basically is, did I take into account that most porn games are unoptimized pieces of shit?
I mean, I get where you're coming from and I did notice that it can happen right after a stutter in the game, but I've lived with shitty hardware for years, played games at like 15 FPS with stuttering and never had issues like these. It's just fucking weird.

Anyway, I'll try to get some logging data for hardware usage and see if it leads anywhere.

Well, I've found a post somewhere on a totally unrelated topic that my CPU can be weird if you never installed / ran Ryzen Master. So I've installed Ryzen Master. I unfortunately didn't test after this, but I also reinstalled chipset drivers. One of these or the combination of them seems to have fixed the issue. At least for now...

Good to know. I believe I've run Ryzen Master in the past and it was good from a performance perspective (e.g., overclocking optimization) and whatnot. A combination of installing the aforementioned application and updating your chipset drivers may yield some fruit. Have at it and let me know what the outcome of the ongoing performance tests looks like.

Hopefully, the tests yield favourable results (y)

Do you know the fix to it

Well, it's still happening but not as often. I've got other weird issues now... I might actually have to reinstall Windows even though I don't want to. It seems that having a bunch of software and uninstalling and installing constantly just destroys Windows...
