Getting the same issue. Best as I can tell it's trying to "jump" ahead. I get it trying to kick me simultaneously onto the calendar and back to the "girl select" screen, and there's no way to skip the scene, so... yeah. If anyone has ideas, by all means share them.
The whole problem is in the translation patch, the game works fine in Japanese, the patch is downloaded from greatvisualnovel
I tried starting the game with locale emulator after copying the file in the userdata folder and it worked.
I don't understand why this is still a problem.
It's been proven LLM can produce far better translations than older MTL. It's not superior to a proper translation, especially if you want 100% accurate translation.
But if you just want to understand a simple erotic story and not burden your brain with processing MTL nonsense ... it's good enough.

Run the game using Japanese locale and it will work.

2nd: my honest comment: mtl is not enjoyable. I'm not in hurry so I wait for official translation instead. I haven't even play the other older game "open world"

MTL is pretty meh. Don't know why you'd even bother anymore if you don't want to spring for an AI translation.
Either way, the game just looks... okay? I played a few days past the prologue and lost interest. The girls in the first game were a lot hotter. And more interesting in general. This one is leaning too hard into them being weird/quirky/wacky/lolsorandom or whatever. "This one's a lazy vampire princess! This one's a yandere demon who wants you to become the demon king! This one's an alien! This one's a cult member! This one's a pirate! This one's... really boring? This one's a thousand year old loli!" Eh.
Girls show up and are like 'Yeah, we want you to father the destroyer to fight your other hero child' and he's like "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be" and gets to work. The first game certainly wasn't Shakespeare, but I could actually feel braincells dying trying to wrap my head around why he's going along with this.

Breaks on second heart of last char for me. Opens the calendar in the middle of the scene then goes back to char selection and locks up.
