How do people rip sites? Is it as simple as "take a screenshot", or is there a dedicated tool for it?

Any self-respecting ripper will not use screenshots. They will download the original files.
I have yet to find a site where I wasn't able to download the original images.
The top hardest sites to get the original images from are Tufos and Welcomix.
Not only do they cut up each individual page into 108, 117 or 126 tiles, they remove all the images if you open Developer tools or and extension.
For those sites, I use several scripts I wrote (JavaScript) to download the images and then use a FOSS image manipulation tool, and 1 windows batch script as well as 1 powershell script to rebuild the pages from the tiles downloaded.

Hello I compress the collection of animations from Tufos Familia Sacana Episode 1 to 23. Got the watermark from the website and the logo of the pirate. Russian subtittle can be removed thank to dowload or upload them to the OP before they got removed
