This. If a dev wishes to use AI to create background images, I don't have the slightest objection to that any more than I have them using free stock images. The tag and my avoidence comes from characters and scenes being created through AI.
Gave it a chance and none of the games I played that used AI art for the characters/scenes I enjoyed.

idk if this was changed in an update or something but i tried following ur advice but none of the settings turn off the speech noise anymore. I'm legit about to dig through the game files and just remove this sound if i can; it's not cute nor does it enhance the game experience it just destroys my ears endlessly lol. Thanks anyway for this old post lol.
EDIT: Ah i found out if you click "mute all" it works then you can turn the other sounds on individually and the weird booping voice noise stays muted. So i think it's safe to assume this noise is no longer attributed to any of these volume sliders but to it's own hidden one that can only be controlled with the mute all button.

Apparently, this update cut down on the game's filesize tremendously by replacing a lot of .PNGs in the game with .WEBPs. Whatever the process was the dev used to convert these files also created a metric fuck ton of artifacting in the game sprites. It's not all that noticeable in larger images, like the event CGs, but considering the interaction sprites are smaller it's way easier to see the degeneration of quality.
