I honestly prefer non-Japanese games in every way except for one thing. In J-games, the guys' sexual stamina is legendary. I played this one game where the guy went at the FMC for 12 hours straight....the whole room, the walls, the door, the roof and her body were literally painted in cum, and she blacked out from being fucked so hard. I’m just talking about the sexual side of things, though; the chemistry between the MC and FMC was actually top-tier. Loanwords are useful when they convey a more specific and accurate definition than the otherwise longwinded way of describing something originally.

We say 'he caught a lot of flak for that' because it's a useful combination of an idiom and a descriptor.

That's not what cursed was saying, or at least what I interpreted from him. He was referring to the practice of using ill-fitting japanese words to describe american/western themes in games. It's jamming a square peg in a round hole. And it's really no secret the only reason this occurs so widely in the avn space is because of the massive representation of japanophiles.

Yeah, exactly, it's her! In this game the graphics and Valerie model are better respect to MWAS, so it's a plus!
The story is a bit changed, but not too much, the husband is a different person but the "contest" is the same

I like this split though, cuckold and stag are great shorthand descriptors in which the bulk of western story paths could be described.

I would petition to add these tags but the more I think about it the more complicated it seems to me. First of all, what differentiates stag games from cuck games? At first I thought that stag is "wholesome sharing" and cuck is "sharing and humiliation". But then I remembered a game that evokes conflicting feelings among players with whom I discussed it - From Wife To Wench. On one hand, nobody humiliates you directly there. On the other hand, you are constantly hinted that you are a lesser man, e.g. you can't make your wife cum during sex unless you describe her lewd scenarios where she fucks other men (and centaurs). On one hand, wife is loyal, on the other - it is clear that she likes other guys sexually more than you, and there are all kinds of cuck tropes - BBCs, BNWO, the protagonist with an extremely small dick.
So what is that? Indirect humiliation? Maybe better call it "self-deprecation fetish"?
I personally feel that this game is very cuckold, but a lot of people tryed to convince me that this is actually a very wholesome game... Anyway, while defining stag as 'wholesome sharing' seems perfectly fitting, defining 'cuck' is more difficult.

Another problem with that categorization is that we will need to introduce the "netorase" tag to mark japanese-style sharing games. Because games like Adelaide Inn, Blurring the Walls, IMO, don't fit narratively into 'stag' nor into 'cuck' categories. Indeed they are Japanese-style sharing games. Although Blurring the Walls is an outlier even among Japanese NTS games, but still I think it rather belongs there than to stag or cuck. What do you think Pr0GamerJohnny is Blurring the Walls Japanese sharing game or western one narratively? I noticed in the comments that you enjoyed it quite a lot, before it went too much lesbian.

ehh, even with that game, the dev themselves use the 'cuck' word. Wholesome or not, cucking is part of the game and is an accurate tag.

The problem is, I disagree that the other path is not cuck. So if the mods slap both stag and cuck tags on it, referring to the different paths - that would be mistagging, IMO. But why would they do it? Well, maybe because of the lots of people that were convincing me that this game is actually wholesome sharing..
