You guys are all talking about some imaginary tommyknocker - play it

- literally all this discussion is more on the meta topic than the actual current up-to-date tone in game, it's like when people hear some hype about a movie before seeing it then discussion of that hype eclipses the original story. Yes, the first 5 minutes and initial premise is super cuckish, ignore that shit and get to the good part (where she changes her hair)
I fully accept that I'm speculating, but not out of nothing. The game's title, for one. The author's description: "while focusing on the emotional and psychological toll this experience takes on their relationship, including the feelings of jealousy, insecurity and angst".
Won't berate anyone who's ok with it, just not for me, with how I assess the risk of things going a certain way. Won't even be a derailment of the story, since the premise is there from the beginning. What I'm calling out is merely the apparent disjunction between what the content is SO FAR, and where the title and author's declared intentions seem to lead. I've played my share of games up to a point where I couldn't go any further, it's a bit frustrating and I prefer to ignore a game where mirk looms on the horizon, than start playing it and then join the chorus nagging the author to please make an optional path to avoid all the dark stuff.
I won't mind at all that you prove me wrong in a year's time, in fact, I'd prefer it, and gladly play it then, if it holds. Maybe the "emotional and psychological toil" is there only as a consequence of bad decisions, and you can avoid jealousy, insecurity and angst altogether.
Edit: Actually I think we're talking about different games... RN I was referring to "Angst" but the virus and pregnancy is "My Loyal Wife". I got confused and other people might have, too
