I go through stages it seems. Lately I've been into more romance heavy stories, with less emphasis on sex. And nothing too dark, looking for almost pure vanilla and/or harem. Not sure why, but it is what it is.

I still use a few popular sharing games as scene collectors/more sexual experiences though.

If vanilla games provided everyone with as much enjoyment as "sharing" does for sharing fans, "cuckolding" for those who appreciate cuckolding content, and "cheating" for cheating fans, then no one would pursue these three genres
My point is, if full vanilla games truly give you that much pleasure, then you are lucky; you experience the same level of enjoyment as we do, but without having to temporarily share fmc with someone else
Personally, only five or six full vanilla games give me that level of pleasure, so for the time being, I remain in the realm of sharing and the like

But if you stick around a few months, my release will have none of those things.

I follow/play about 170 AVNs right now.

My biggest criterias are:
no kinetic/I want choices
no game that has solo LI only paths/endings - I need at least poly or throuple paths or harem
no game where every woman in the game has BIG boobs, I prefer small/medium, so I just want variety
no Unity/RPGM/2D games - DAZ or HS for me
not a fan of NTR/cheating, but if it's in the game and on it's own path, I'm good

I know games out there that have used choices to turn characters into mere puppets. I mean, with a very simple choice, the MC’s entire behavior turns into a "beta," but if you select a different option in that same instance, the MC takes on a totally "alpha" personality—or other laughable outcomes!
In my opinion, choices should be more natural and logical, like in the real world where a person in a given situation makes a decision that affects their future, or at least the next few days, rather than fundamentally altering the characters with one magical choice

I'm sitting on 100ish waiting for updates/following.
20ish 'favorites', about 50 'liked', those are completed/abandoned VNs that are 'done'.
About 250 in 'trash'...
I don't even want to count the bookmarks 'to play'...
So, even if just minor league rookie numbers, guess I'm at least in the ball park...

how do you keep track

I have a game notes sheet for each VN (except trashed ones)...otherwise, I'd forget names, paths, etc. and have to replay the damn things every time an update comes out, especially those that take months...

I remember playing a vanilla game a few years back—I can't recall the name now—that had a feature where the game would automatically draft a highly organized summary of the story, relationships, and everything the player had experienced up to that point, especially since the storyline wasn't exactly simple and straightforward
It was a brilliant concept; they released a massive update every nine months, so if anyone forgot anything, they could just go there and read up for a few minutes

Have you tried The Three Panes, Holiday for Four, or The Selkie? All by the same dev. There's a little IR in there but it's not the ridiculous BBC trope. Just the occasional normal person (man or woman) who isn't white...

Welcome to Port Haven has exactly that problem. the choices feel way too magical...but Long Story Short nailed it. no magical choices there, everything feels super believable

I downloaded a game about a dude that has to work on the adult industry, I didn't check the tags (yeah, I know, my bad) but I was guessing he would maybe have a girlfriend that was loyal (or more) but the actresses are basically.... well, being porn actresses, right?
