There was a time not so long ago that most of the characters in Daz games all looked the same too. Hell, that's still true for some of them. I feel like in the well made AI games, the characters are better looking and more believable than in the run of the mill Daz created one too, because they don't have the dead eyed manequin look that those can get. It seems to take a really gifted dev to get past that aspect.Was considering downloading the new Shadows of Ambition update but then I was thinking about the new wave of AI games like College of Mysteria (which I really like), Moonripple Lake, My new Girlfriend, and Shadows of course, and how they are all so similar.
The girls all seem almost identical personality wise, the MC all very similar as well, the art, identical, the facial expression, ever more identical if that's possible
I can't really treat most of them as anything but scene collectors. College of Mysteria being an exception due to the fact that the story seems a bit more involved, which is nice, and the level of choices is incredible.
I wonder if it's just the AI art that makes the characters feel not as real to me, or if it is indeed the writing. Hard to say. My gut says it's not just the art, but you never know.

Personally, I would be okay with games like that if the MC were allowed to have a spine and do something about it, even if it's just abandoning the whore and riding off to plow other girls on his own. Even if it's very limited, I enjoyed being able to tell the two girls in the newest Shadows of Ambition update "na, not in the mood" LOL. Sure, the choices are basically "do sexy stuff" or "not do sexy stuff" and the girl will instantly forget being rejected, but that alone is very freeing, especially when I have no interest in specific characters (the red head in this instance).
But yea, games where humiliation is the point, the audience that enjoys that is so far from ones that want to tell the wife "we're done" that there's really no point even giving the choice.

1. I have similar criticism about MISW as others... It's not sharing/swinging. It's NT(R)S/hotwife/cuck stuff. And in that regard, it does its job very, very well... The wife goes 0 to slut warp mach 10 super fast...
2. I don't like any of the 3 'friends'. The one dude seems ok, but he's always running interference, intentional or not, for the other 2; for that, I don't like him either...

which is why I appreciate games that do give you the option to allow or not allow humiliation , while im fine with light playful humiliation I feel it should be treated like sharing where the wife ask once in awhile if it's still okay or if she goes to far with it. As I think communication is key with that as well.
But I hate it when games force it on your just because you are on X route. In Pineapple express it's forced on to you when Julia makes you wait outside when she goes fuck your friend , and tells you she will punish you if you break her rules. There are several key "no" choices early on, mixed in with the clues, that lead to quite different conversations and outcomes...especially on the so-called "sharing" route. Reading the scripts can lead to a few revelations...
Which, I am thinking is not really gunna matter in the end, except for just how you are gunna react to the inevitable "air-tight" scene near the end....no spoilers tho, lol

I think what dextrous was getting at is there's an assumption that all the stuff we're discussing on this thread- the games we like, the games we don't like, reflect our personal preferences only and there's no additional motivations as would come with development or cross promotion.

The previous stuff? No. For everything new, yes. It's "sex scene: yes/no" with a bit of flavor text afterwards. So something like:Is Liam avoidable?
"Help Liam/Don't help Liam" and then you do or don't see the scene with Liam. The dev also mentioned going back to rework older stuff with choices since the choices were very well received. hard to say. I love choices, so something more akin to College of Mysteria, where you can choose who exactly to share with, or not, is important to me. The dev is here in this thread I know, so maybe a clarification would be amazing (albeit unlikely, since he might not want to commit to something)

side question - The Adored Marriage: I see a few of you guys in there, looks like it might bend towards the MC being a cuck vs NTR? So no real swinging/participation by the MC?

From what I remember from my playthrough there is at least one scene that can directly involve the husband (MMF). If I recall correctly there were only two full-on sex scenes other than the husband and wife being together.
I'm going to try the new update soon.

Very nice! Yeah I played a bit and this update is definitely another level compared to what it was before. Not just choices but everything - story, dialogues, pacing and vibe got noticibly better. And even the MC's inner monologue was not annoying so far. Tho I only finished the Nyct club section, didn't touch the gym part yet. The choices definitely brought live to the game and added immersion.
And it's cool that the dev is going to rework the early parts. Tbh I was especially annoyed by how they started dating with Alice. On their first date in the cinema she immediately showed her boobs to a random dude - and she did as a 'surprise' for him - for a guy who she just started dating! And later their intimate convo revolved around teasing him with sharing. It was so weird and made Alice rather an annoying character tbh. The romance failed from the start. Later it improved, they started acting a more like a gf and bf and Alice turned down the cringe a bit. But still I wish they had proper romance first before going into swinging. I think the art of making a good swinging game is to convince players that the MC and the FMC are really in love despite all the debauchery they indulge themselves in and especially cool if the dev makes the player fall in love with the FMC - this way sharing scenes will be really impactful.
As for the Adored Marriage - IIRC it's just a badly written, badly paced game. I gave up on it
