In Exciting Games I remember the MC setting up a stressful situation for his wife at least once, when a guy looked at her while she didn't notice it and the MC didn't tell her. When she finally noticed it she felt uncomfortable. IIRC there was another option but it too made her feel uncomfortable.
EG is a huge game as of chapter 18. I think I can see what you reacted to, but believe me, there's a point, and not so far into the game, where the wife picks up and gets herself in all sorts of trouble, without straying from the strictly couple-bound dynamics. Those scenes in the public transport and the park are the infancy of their "exciting games". Wait till you see her deal with the pesky colleague who overtly wants to win her from the MC. Not to mention she's a cuckquean as well.
There are two main threads in that game that I'd like to see advance or reach some resolution: one is the MC's own colleague - she's clearly singled out by the author, fallen for the MC and not treated like other NPCs as a prop in the couple's games. Maybe there's a stronger connection ahead? I'd hate to see her go to Thomas, the sleazy douche cop. The other thread is the fact that often when the MMC and FMC have their adventures at home, you get a picture from out the window as if someone were spying on them from another building. They often refer to a risk for the MC's job as a cop, if they're caught perving in public. I sense blackmail in the works. Hoping it comes in the form of sexual blackmail, where the MC and FMC handle it like the pros they've become and defeat the blackmailer through playing his/her desires. Maybe the blackmailer will try to set up increasingly edgy scenarios to try and break their relationship, but they'll always come out of them unscathed. I'd hate it if the author introduced real drama or costly consequences in this relaxed and so far drama-free game.
