Hey. If it's "Doors must be open!" quest, you should go down to the Hold, talk to Bill and take the "Old Man's Request" quest from him, then you can go up to Orlop and click on the right hammock in front of you and that's how you get the key to Tovenaar. Then you can return to the deck in your cabin and spend time until night.

I can't return the key till night fall, and if go to my cabin I can't try tosleep because I still have the key... haha
