Look man, that's called a cop-out. They've set precedents with the update times with the previous updates, and seeing as they've apologized more than once regarding how long this update is taking, its lateness is something they themselves admit.
Had it not been late this whole thing would have never happened. It would have just been a normal update cycle. Like Holly or Myrtle. Clearly something went awry.
But there is really nothing worth talking about this since neither of us will budge.
No. It's called a fact.
If they did not give a specific date for release, then it's literally impossible for them to be late.
Apologising that it's taking a long time is not saying it's late.
It's simply saying it's taking/taken longer than expected.
Longer than normal, is not late. It's longer than normal.
Without a deadline, there is no late.
If they did not give a specific date, then the only thing they are late for meeting, is people's expectations.
Most adults
should be capable of managing their own expectations.
This is not an opinion, it's not a cop-out. It's simply a fact.
Using your own unmanaged & therefore unmet expectations is not a valid reason for throwing shade on the dev.
If you said it's taken longer than normal, I would not be disputing it.
But in order for it to be late, it must have passed a deadline.
A real one, that they set, not an arbitrary one that you chose.
