My personal advice for future pledges would be, to either give money because you are grateful for what a dev delivered in the past/delivers right now or to give money because you trust in a concrete, actual promise a dev made. Never give money because of some abstract hope for things which may happen or because you think pledging money will automatically make a dev do what you'd like to see. In that case you'll almost always be disappointed.
Took like 1 animation class in college for fun (so take this with a grain of salt)
If I remember correctly, the smoothness in good animation is usually a mix of:
1. The planning (when to "squash", how much to squash and which parts to focus on or "favor")
2. More "in-betweens" (more frames between key frames)
3. Careful use of motion blur or 'smearing'
Which are all very time consuming if you're not an experienced animator and not just doing animation

I mean, it'll totally depend on the project, etc. but in this case we can be sure that Chestnut won't start to draw twice as fast just because they may make twice the money on patreon.
It doesn't mean they shouldn't make twice the money - they totally should - but people will have to manage their expectations. As long as everybody has a bit of patience, it will continue to go well and we'll get great updates in the future, too.

I want to preface this by saying I'm a huge fan of the game, so I'm not just being a hater by saying this.
It's a little weird and off-putting the way the MC constantly uses "pretty" as a nickname for Myrtle. Maybe it's the repetition that's throwing me off. Once or twice would probably be fine.
But it's usage as a noun instead of an adjective just reminds me of the Wicked Witch of the West, and because he kept saying it, the image got reinforced, and now I can't not hear the Wicked Witch's voice whenever I read MC calling Myrtle "pretty".

Guys can someone drop save for the end of 0.3 version so i could start right with new update ; My HDD broke so i lost all saves.
Man. Another awesome update to one of the best, most professional games on here. I could point out niggles but the fact they're all I can point out just reflects how high the quality is overall.
Already looking forward to the next version. REALLY curious what
is going to look like. And I'll keep my fingers crossed for Gretta's reappearance - loved the new hidden art.

I didn't even put the OZ connection to it, just as an English speaker it was off because its kind of a bland descriptor for a constant nickname, hot or cute or something wouldn't have stuck out so much. It's fine to call someone pretty but if it was cute, then you'd reinforce it with cutie which seems more like what people would actually say. "Your so cute" or "hey cutie" don't exactly work either because she's more hot and sexy rather than cute most of the time but it would still flow better, I think.
Right took a bit long for me to finally comment. I was just so immersed with the plot and all this energy built up i had to work hard to get it out of my system.
This game is definitely the saving grace of the whole lewd game industry right now.(At least in the West) We need to unplug people from the Summertime menace and bring them over here. Some people are too far gone, may the god of porn save their souls. But i am sure there are reasonable ones that can see the future lies with WaL.

Same here. I think my favorite was the "hen-tea" sequence, but it's a hard choice when you think about the Toy Story, the Wolf's fate (I was really convinced that the wolf was her husband), the Wish Tree, and all of the others. A great case of Masterful Story-Telling with damn few flaws.
Is there some sort of in-joke about the fox's "Gekkek"? (And aren't they just the CUTEST things?)
I thought it sounded a bit off myself when I was playing, probably because it's unusual. (Although, thinking about it, I seem to recall another example in Classic Literature or Movies of a character nicknamed "Pretty".)
I didn't think of the Oz reference until it was mentioned here, but I don't really think it's quite apt. The way Margaret Hamilton says "MY Pretty" is just downright creepy (my generation would say that she "just drips it"), probably because it just fits the old stereotype of a child molester (imagine an old guy in the alley: "Caaaan-DEE, Little Girl?"). The stress on "MY" is important, I think, and doesn't exist here.

Played the 0.4 update and I gotta say, I didn't expect there to be as much content as there was. I figured it was going to be minimal, but there was quite a lot. Overall, I really enjoyed it! Though, I do have a question regarding this more character specific story update. For something like Myrtles where a lot was fleshed out all at once, will that exclude her(or other side characters for that matter) from appearing more throughout the game or having future content related to them?
