What kind of answer are you honestly expecting to get in the very own game's thread of the top rated game on this site? xDD Of course we recommend this. This has set at the top of the weighted ranking list for awhile but I still have to ask....
Would you guys recommend this?
Now, that's another question. It depends on how fast you read and how amazed you might feel with Chestnut's art (and maybe how fast you find the different quests items, although the in-game's help system should make this quite easy), but a complete playthrough should take you way more than 4 hours. Note that choices are just cosmetic and don't really matter in terms of story progression, so in that regard replayability is limited (and maybe you don't like this kind of 'linear story' games). Basically you just get to decide if you want to pursue side chicks or notHow much content can I expect?
I wonder why people don't go to the threads of games which have their favorite fetishes and demand better art, but either complain or insist that every game with good art and gameplay cater to them.Fantastic art and pretty great writing as well. Unfortunately very vanilla, but you can't have everything.
Probably because adding fetish X or Y to a game is technically quite easy, while changing the art and style of an existing game is pretty much impossible.I wonder why people don't go to the threads of games which have their favorite fetishes and demand better art, but either complain or insist that every game with good art and gameplay cater to them.
I must have missed the part where I listed my fetishes and demanded they be added to the game.I wonder why people don't go to the threads of games which have their favorite fetishes and demand better art, but either complain or insist that every game with good art and gameplay cater to them.
Technically true, but what if all devs actually give in to these demands ? Every game will be the same content over and over again. Is that really better ?Probably because adding fetish X or Y to a game is technically quite easy, while changing the art and style of an existing game is pretty much impossible.
Also worth mentioning, that unless the writer and the artist are also into the fetish, said fetish would not be as well written.Technically true, but what if all devs actually give in to these demands ? Every game will be the same content over and over again. Is that really better ?
It's time for some players to realize that games receive high ratings exactly because they don't include their specific niche fetishes. Given the amount of porn games that are coming out of the woodwork nowadays, there should be enough content to cater to everyone provided they look hard enough instead of just going to the top rated games and requesting.
Oh, I didn't want to argue for these things and I don't support what you describe, either, especially once we are talking about the "N-word" with the 3 capital letters, I just wanted to answer your question.Technically true, but what if all devs actually give in to these demands ? While I'd agree that devs shouldn't write things they don't like or really don't care about at all, most will find a good balance. It seems usually a bad idea to produce games which are too focussed because most people will not like that and because the story will suffer from a lack of variety. Last but not least we should remember that this game really is anything but that. The range of (announced) fetishes is already huge and there's a lot more to come: elves, orcs, fairies, furries, trees, "grannies", pregnant stuff, breastfeeding, group scenes, lesbain scenes, etc. Also worth mentioning, that unless the writer and the artist are also into the fetish, said fetish would not be as well written.
I much rather someone add a fetish to their game because they love it, rather because they think it's cool to appeal to a "wider audience". When in reality the more fetishes you add the less of an impact they'll will have, as you end of with 1-3 scene with a throwaway character.
Well, that was kinda the point of my first line. If the devs like all the fetishes they want to add, then they'll probably try and balance them correctly. I've seen a lot of devs that leave the fetishes of the game up to the players, but then it's just become a mishmash of thrown around things, that just slightly appeal to people. While I'd agree that devs shouldn't write things they don't like or really don't care about at all, most will find a good balance. So the actual question should have been why anybody would think that this is actually "too vanilla"
fully agree. the magic nuts team are doing a great job. it comes across as a labour of love for them and not just workI personally love that this game is very romance and comedy heavy. I don't know what qualifies as "vanilla" but I think it's refreshing to finally not have corruption, mind control, hypnosis and other unhealthy nonesense in this one. I think the game is already great as it is and all the planned kinks will make sure to make it very varied and will probably offer something for everyone.
I fully trust in Chestnut and Pistachio and I'm certain their game will only get better and better with time.
