Subverse has "high quality" voice actors. Or rather the only few well known porn voice actors out there.

They all sound like shit. It's fake as fuck. It's not that they're bad VA's, it's just that the porn industry has kinda made this "normal".
I just took a look at a trailer on Steam and it reminds me of the kind of voice acting in Overwatch, just a bit more "language."
Did I say "stop talking about this?" No, I said I was amused at how the conversation evolved. I'm not only letting them discuss things, I'm joining in.
I've noticed a lot of people perceive differing opinions as oppression.

Here in the U.S. we see a lot of people on one side of the aisle go on and on about how the other side is suppressing their free speech, while ignoring the irony of being free to declare their speech is being suppressed.

You say this as though 6K a month is a lot of money.

Let's check that.

They work on this 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, and there are 2 of them. So, in a month with 30 days, they put in 480 hours (30 x 8 x 2). If they're making $6000 per month, that comes out to 12.5 dollars per hour.

Where I'm from, that's not even minimum wage.

Where the fuck are you from so i can move there lol?

Did someone on here say Subverse has bad voice acting? You must be insane because that game actually has really good voice acting. Like really good. You wouldn't expect a porn game to have voice acting at that level, but it does. Seriously, play the game and listen to how good it is.

Will there be more repeat sex scenes with other characters? They would be a good filler for replaying while waiting for the nest update.

I'm pretty sure most of these will have been japanese, where there's a huge market for voice actresses in general and where it's indeed possible to get actual quality.

For western games that's certainly different, especially once you consider that we aren't talking about a short(ish) VN with like 5 or 6 girls, but about a game with a huge cast.
You're bringing back flashbacks from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for me, but that was so bad it was funny.

I think it's called the victim mentality. If you're a victim, the other person is a bad guy and therefore not a person with rights.

I guess there are multiple parts to this discussion.
1) Are we talking about voice acting all of the dialog, or are we talking about adding moans to the sex scenes? The former is considerably more expensive than the latter.
2) The degree to which porn style heavy moans are realistic.

The answer to 2 is complicated. There are literally billions of couples having sex regularly in this world, and there's unquestionably variety in how that sex plays out. I suspect that, without outside influences, the vast majority of women are considerably less evocative during sex than you see in porn. But porn does what it does because what it does is popular. And, I'm sure that there people who, having seen and enjoyed porn, have asked their partners to act differently in bed. That's not just being louder. It's also trying different positions and roleplays, etc. So, for good or bad (or both), porn influences reality.

In the end, though, WaL is more "erotic" than "porn." It skips most of the more extreme porn tropes, from incest, to beachball sized breasts, to abusive/forced sex. So, you'd expect that if they added audio to the sex scenes, they'd also skip the more extreme loud moaning.

This makes adding audio feel like a no win situation to me. The people who want porn-style moaning would be disappointed, and even the people who enjoy "realistic" sounds would probably notice that there are so few of them in a scene that they'd question how much the sounds really add.

In my own experience, I added sex sounds to a few of my games, but doing so was, by far, my least favorite part of developing erotic games. So, at some point, I polled my audience on what they wanted. I got a fairly even 1/3 split between, "I hate the sounds and turn off the audio," "I could take them or leave them," and "I really like them." Biased by my own dislike of adding the sounds, I chose to interpret that as "2/3 of my audience doesn't care if I stop doing sounds" and happily stopped doing them.

I think that if there's a change in the music when a sex scene is happening, it's ok, just something that would change the general tone of the scene from everything else.

it doesnt look like victim mentality, u probably think of grifters who use victim hood for personal gains, for me people are just pointing the obvious and yes they are being silenced but they not demanding any money for it, censoring something will usually give censor the bad press, i mean would u want for what a legend to be censored because of political reasons?

So is this another irphaeus, icstor? Now that enough money is coming in, just stretch it as far as they can without any new updates? Every time I check it's the same % how can that be possible? One day they have 86% the next 87% then back to 86% and so on. it's been on 85-87% for months, just go up and down fooling people anything is being done. And when it finally releases it's just gonna be 15 mins worth of content...
It says 97% in the content section right now, which has consistently risen week over week. You can't debug content that doesn't exist so the bottom total moves less. Let's see what the update brings in terms of content, but the track record here is strong. The Myrtle update was amazing.

If it's been showing as 85-87% on your computer for months, I would suggest either fixing your cache settings or getting new glasses. And the last update was way longer than 15 minutes. The Discord has a channel for status updates which you can check daily. Don't lie if you're a bad liar.

Exactly one month ago:
the progress, they used to update that % every day, now it's been the same for weeks
That's some nice and consistent timing, I'll give him that

Totally not true. I'm checking these stats from time to time - the growth is not fast, but steady.
