Hello everybody.
Today will be the last Friday of 2020, and we wanted to thank all of you who have supported us in this craziest of years. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your trust in us and our capacity and honesty means a huge deal to both Chestnut and me, and although we have made mistakes (and no doubt will continue to do so), we will do everything in our power to deserve your support.
I don't want to bore you with a long-ass report, but there are several topics we want to discuss on this final report of the year, and so here goes:
Update interval:
We want the interval between our updates to be 2-3 months. We planned too many quests for the 0.4 and have already passed the three-month mark, but I want to confirm that we don't want this to happen again. For 0.5 and beyond, we will try to limit the number of quests to keep the dev-time under three months.
The progress tracker:
Some of you have asked me about the slower progress in the progress-tracker in the past week, and I would like to reassure you that we have not slackened in our work. Instead, I have done most of what I can do without the sex scenes and have been re-playing, editing, rewriting, and polishing the content, all being necessary tasks that don't advance the main progress. Chestnut has been working on the base artwork for the sex scenes, and once she's done, I will be animating them, code them in the game, and write their sex dialogues. This will lead to a sudden rise in the tasks done, so I am confident that we will pick up speed once the art of those scenes is ready.
Weekly videos:
Given that Chestnut is working on the artworks of the sex scenes and that we don't like to show those to you before you experience them in-game, we have a bit of difficulty recording videos right now. Once she's done with the sex scenes, however, she can start working on other tasks that we can record and share.
Patreon's currency:
When we opened our Patreon page, we went with the USD currency (I don't remember if it was the default option or not) even though we live in Spain, and we have now come to realize that reporting the currency changes to the tax office here is an administrative mess. And so we will most likely switch to the EURO in 2021, if and only if our current patrons are not affected by the change. I have already contacted Patreon, and they have told me that the current patrons will continue to be charged in the currency and amount they first pledged, and so it should not affect any of you, but we want things to be as transparent as possible, and we thought you should know about this possible change.
Dear Celestina:
Many of you have voiced your dislike of the fact that the young version of Celestina was merely an illusion. That, in hindsight, was a mistake. WaL is primarily an adult game, and although we like to be crazy with some of the humor, have fun, and hopefully make you smile, we should make sure that the jokes don't negatively impact the erotic experience.
Therefore, we will be changing some parts of Celestina's quest to fix that mistake for both new and returning players.
The tree girl:
There have been many requests and discussions around our spank-loving tree-girl, and so we will include her as one of the poll options in the next content-direction poll we run, later in the future, and while we're making 0.5.
