Furry content will become available during Maple's quest. I'm guessing patrons aren't fully aware of this when they cast their votes, I would have expected many more votes for her

Many people would specifically *not* vote Maple because of the furry stuff planned for it, though. Furry content is something you either really love or really hate, I don't think I've ever met anyone who's neutral to it. And, well, the furries are off doing their own thing with their own games focused on that and not donating to vanilla content in the hopes of adding a furry side character to it.
(Personally, I'm in the camp of rabbit girl being someone I'm going to skip unless she turns out to just be an usagimimi and not a full anthro. But from the way magicnuts has posted about her in the past she sounds like a full anthro.)

As long as the TnA is drawn well, I don't care about the floppy ears or tails. Most people I think are turned off by the IRL stuff that isn't really a factor here.
I'm surprised the bunny girl is what they're going with. Single mum with a bunch of kids is a hard sell, and then there's the Fur Club in Carn Alley which I thought was going to be some meta take on the subject. You know, a bunch of girls in furry getups offering "bark'n'bite sessions" or "belly rubs with extras", that kinda stuff.

I don't mind ears and tails either, that's not even "furry" as far as I'm concerned. I'm talking about lewds of Lola Bunny. Specifically the issue is the fur replacing smooth human skin and the rabbit head replacing a human face.

But yeah, I get that everyone has a " nope" point with this stuff. I don't mind most hand drawn furry stuff as long as it's human from the neck down and from the knees up, Asari squid hair or even Tali's three digit hands - an ass curve is an ass curve, my brain handles the rest.
But show me a woman from Cats, and I'll show you what I ate for breakfast, regardless of how nice her trunk is.

Chestnut originally planned to work on sprite expressions, but she started the week with a new cutscene, and she liked the result and was so inspired that she moved from one artwork to another, starting the base artwork for several new scenes. We shared an image from one of the events

I debugged some of the issues that prevented the game from loading properly and spent the rest of the week posing scenes and adding the already finished text (with edit version 1) to the code. The posing is progressing at a steady pace, and I expect that by the middle of the next week, I will be done with most of the sprite dialogues of the introduction.
Next week's plan:
Chestnut will probably continue doing cutscenes, finishing or starting larger scenes with many variations. We also need some facial expressions -- particularly for Jebediah -- that she will probably work on.
I will keep posing scenes and fixing any issues that come up, trying to conclude the sprite dialogues of the introduction so that I can either add the cutscenes that are finished or go for Rose's first quest.

As you can see, still a long way off. Don't expect anything before Q2 2022.
