Mar sin, lá maith.
Of course, you can't be sure of anything on the internet. But they have stated this about themselves several times. In addition, sometimes you can tell from their texts that they are not native English speakers. And someone here once mentioned that the words used and the structure of the sentences is correct in Spanish, even though it was not quite correct in English.
It is quite possible that this is the case. after the main language, they studied Spanish, and after English. Hence the whole mess

something that is closer to Poland
Well, in Eastern Europe it is not quite usual for someone to learn Spanish. At least not as a first language. Usually the first is English, the second is German, French or, until recently, Russian. Personally, I would count about 10 people I know who are learning Spanish. And I live fucking close to Poland.
I'm not saying it's not possible, it's just not common.

I talk to them in Spanish and they don't seem foreigners at all, but you'd need to believe I'm Spanish too and therefore able to spot the differences. About other circumstancial proofs, Celestina is the name of a famous old matchmaker in Spanish literature from a classic book from the 15th century titled, well, 'La Celestina' (in fact, 'celestina' has become the common noun in Spanish for matchmakers); also, her deceased husband in the game was named Calisto, which is the name of the main protagonist of that book.

I'm very curious to know why do you think they would lie about where they are from. I mean, I'm asking sincerely, as I see absolutely no benefit in doing that.

Hey, didn't know you were from Spain too! So am I!

there are more than enough reasons for this. Just like most artists point to another country

Depends if it gets delayed and by how much. I can't see them working on the game over Christmas with their kids. They suggest that they haven't had a normal Christmas with their kids because of working on this game but it honestly just sounds like a pity ploy, I doubt they worked much on this game over Christmas the last 2 years.

In their words: "I'm actually happy that there's a deadline and that it looks like this year we'll finally have a proper Christmas."
"We can't wait to take a break from our 2 year break! Children! Surgery! Et cetera and et cetera, money pleeeeaaaaseee."

And I'm Irish. But for some reason, I'm not red-haired and I don't have a pint of beer in my hands. ..
is there anything more specific that this proves?
They said themselves that they are Spanish and live in Barcelona. If our word is not good enough for you then why the hell are you even asking?

I see the next update is on 99%, if I download the game now will I have to start fresh when the next update comes out or can you transfer saves?

They never said they live in Barcelona. They don't.

Sorry to interrupt the racial stereotyping...but does anyone know when the 'Gomira' update will be finished?
Devs said they'll release the update in the last week of november.

It's a standard renpy game so saves are automatically transferred when you install the new version (assuming you didn't format your PC)

I live (near) Barcelona, maybe I mentioned that and he mixed information? I don't know, maybe I didn't. I did share a picture of a (small-ish) tornado off the coast of Barcelona, but I'm not sure if that was in this thread or another one.

Hello.
I have a question: is the game still “abandoned”?
I saw that there was an update since the last version I downloaded, it went from 0.6.2 to 0.6.4.
So, are updates just slow in coming, or is it really abandoned?
