I'm absolutely in love with this game! The art is beautiful and story fun to read. The characters are lovable and they keep surprising with their sweetness (like Kevin!! Little hooray everytime he comes in picture!). I can't get enough of all those different faces that characters make and I have had many Many good laughs while playing (MC's talent to reach his nose with his tongue was pure Gold! At that moment I lost my heart to MC and this game entirely). Just keep going! You are doing a great job!

I wonder why people don't go to the threads of games which have their favorite fetishes and demand better art, but either complain or insist that every game with good art and gameplay cater to them.

Probably because adding fetish X or Y to a game is technically quite easy, while changing the art and style of an existing game is pretty much impossible.

SantaKlaus, the artist that we had commissioned to help Chestnut with the backgrounds, has delivered all of the artworks requested. He did a great job, and we're very happy with the outcome, so we have asked him to continue to sketch more backgrounds. This way, we'll be able to expand the world gradually beyond the 0.5 stuff.
Weekly report
Chestnut:
For most of the week, Chestnut was busy working on a cutscene from Simmone's content. It was a shortish event, but it required her to create a new and unique style to present it (not unlike the hen tea stuff without being humorous like that). We think it looks cool and sets up the mood of Simmone's story nicely. Chestnut also did

I finished the main dialogues, added the text to the game, and modified the code here and there to reflect the changes in the story. I also started posing some of the scenes. There's a lot more editing and posing-related coding left, but I'll gradually do them as I pose the scenes.
Next week's plans:
Chestnut will keep working on cutscenes. She may have to stop that to create additional facial expressions for sprites as I pose the scenes, but that would depend on what will be needed.
I will focus entirely on posing scenes and editing the text and the code to make sure everything feels and looks good.

Technically true, but what if all devs actually give in to these demands ? Every game will be the same content over and over again. Is that really better ?
It's time for some players to realize that games receive high ratings exactly because they don't include their specific niche fetishes. Given the amount of porn games that are coming out of the woodwork nowadays, there should be enough content to cater to everyone provided they look hard enough instead of just going to the top rated games and requesting.

Also worth mentioning, that unless the writer and the artist are also into the fetish, said fetish would not be as well written.
I much rather someone add a fetish to their game because they love it, rather because they think it's cool to appeal to a "wider audience". When in reality the more fetishes you add the less of an impact they'll will have, as you end of with 1-3 scene with a throwaway character.

Oh, I didn't want to argue for these things and I don't support what you describe, either, especially once we are talking about the "N-word" with the 3 capital letters, I just wanted to answer your question.
Then again, depending on the fetish and as long as people are asking politely I don't really have problem with it. Huge games like this will have more than 100 scenes once they end and if something makes sense and can be implemented, it's certainly ok to ask for it. Not that anybody should demand anything, but having the conversation usually won't hurt anybody, either.
While I'd agree that devs shouldn't write things they don't like or really don't care about at all, most will find a good balance. It seems usually a bad idea to produce games which are too focussed because most people will not like that and because the story will suffer from a lack of variety. Last but not least we should remember that this game really is anything but that. The range of (announced) fetishes is already huge and there's a lot more to come: elves, orcs, fairies, furries, trees, "grannies", pregnant stuff, breastfeeding, group scenes, lesbain scenes, etc.
So the actual question should have been why anybody would think that this is actually "too vanilla"

This game is in it's early stages, so trying to talk about how much will be with each kink/fetish is really hard to gauge. I also trust Magicnuts, as they seem to be very dedicated to their work. And based on what they've said, they have a plan and it's more about "what will come sooner".
I think the vanilla feeling is more do with the more "romantic" approached the mc had to sex so far, but that could easily swing one way or another as more characters come in. Personally, I think the mc is obviously somewhat shy which add to the comedy and charm, but when it comes to sex I prefer a more controlling man. I still love it though.

When it comes to which kinks are included or not, it seems like the devs that keep the saying "Jack of all trades, master of none" in mind produce the best games. It's better to implement several kinks well than to stuff a game to bursting with every single requested kink with only enough resources to half-ass each one.

I personally love that this game is very romance and comedy heavy. I don't know what qualifies as "vanilla" but I think it's refreshing to finally not have corruption, mind control, hypnosis and other unhealthy nonesense in this one. I think the game is already great as it is and all the planned kinks will make sure to make it very varied and will probably offer something for everyone.
I fully trust in Chestnut and Pistachio and I'm certain their game will only get better and better with time.

I think it's generally important to see that some fetishes/narratives seem simply not compatible with others and that this fact isn't really negotiable. And that pretty much goes both ways. Just as the "non-NTR-branch" in games like Seeds of Chaos or your "typical japanese female MC RPG maker game" seems stupid, the same would be true if someone tried to implement darker stuff like curruption, NTR, mind control, rape, etc. here or in games like Summertime Saga. Once the mood of a game is set, it can't be changed without damaging the game itself.
Then again, that's really just true for a few fetishes. I don't think that anybody would argue that, for example, "a few more footjobs" would do any actual harm.

We're not talking about adding more of things that are already in the game. But in this and multiple other threads there are frequent post of the type 'this game would be better if it added so and so' or 'it's unfortunate that my super-niche kink isn't in it'. And a lot of posters' standard is simply 'it doesn't include my kinks, therefore it is vanilla'.
It gets tiring seeing the same things over and over again, when the developers have already stated they will only do what they feel is right for the game and themselves are interested in. Like even if some developer somewhere was pliable to implement something by request, does anyone even think it will be done properly ?
A certain Big Brother game comes to mind which was very poorly written, because its developer aimed to cater towards the prevalent incest trend, without understanding anything about it.

I don't wanna really prolong this discussion, because nobody here actually said anything about any specific kink/fetish, so it's kinda futile to argue about these things when there's nothing to argue about. But I'd indeed think that quite a few developers would manage to implement a lot of new content well, as long as it fits into the game in principle. That's just what decent writers do.
But most devs simply just aren't good writers (to be nice, some stories are literally worse than what an average 14 year old would write) and that does indeed show massively. I mean, I'm almost 100% sure that BigBrother would have been written very poorly in any case, even if there had been zero incest in it.
If a dev wants to include certain kinks to attract a larger audience for their game I don't have a problem with it. But I do hope they would make them optional and avoidable for those that have no interest in them or they would just wind up driving away some players while trying to attract others. I've quit a number of games that decided to add certain things I have no interest in without making them avoidable.
That seems to be the way they are headed. For instance, the whole old/young thing with Celestina is an optional questline past the introduction that is involved in Holly's route.
