You're wrong in everything, except the 7 months thing (technically you're wrong in this too, since it's been 6 and 1/2, but OK, as update won't be out in 2 weeks). But what were exactly your points? You said you didn't remember the story or the characters, which can be easily solved by replaying the existing content whenever you feel like. You said 7 months is too much for a 2dcg game, as if the quality and amount of content these guys put out on each release, with just 1 artist, could be easily done is less time. You said the new update would have 2 scenes, which is entirely false. There's someone here looking as a fool, and that's not me.
Be warned he already played the my opinion card, which will void any facts and logical arguments you might come up with.

He also gave himself away as a troll with the blanket dig on all Americans.

Don't feed the trolls.

Just a random thought, why the developers don't hire more artists and game devs? Keeping the patreons they have and the money they make in mind, it would be perfectly reasonable to expand the development team. [Rather than to refund each patreon for late update‍♂]

It's been explained several times on their discord. They are already commisioning sketch backgrounds, but
to actually speed up the process, the business of creating cutscenes and sprites will need to be done by others and even if we could find someone who had a perfectly matching style (not an easy task because most very good artists have their own distinct styles), the management might end up costing us more time (at least short-term)
Commisioning art means spending time finding the right people with both the desirable artistic and professional skills, spending time fixing minor and not that minor divergences, spending time waiting for responses in communications, and spending time dealing with the ordinary issues that arises when working with other people. Not that they are totally against hiring, but they are a married couple working together at the same workspace, which gives them agility and flexibility too: they are continuously testing and introducing changes on the fly as they go, when they come up with a new idea or detect something that doesn't really work as they initially thought. Ideally, they'd build a proper studio but there aren't there financially yet.

I don't understand why there are rumors about the game being abandoned. There are still posts on patreon describing the progress, also on the main game page the progress bar is moving forward, slowly but regularly. In my opinion, there is a chance that we will see version 0.6 in late May or early June.
P.S Yesterday a post appeared on Patreon describing the threesome with Rose and Myrtle. Anyone have access to it and could tell us what the developers wrote there?

It's not really rumors but people voicing their opinion while failing to research and inform themselfes about the true nature of delays and game development... sadly a far to common occurence on the Internet.

Agreed they are too lazy to go to the OP to check the tracker update the first thing everyone should do before posting request about the update, I mean it's updated regularly about the progress exactly for that, is it that much of a hassle to look at it before start complaining about nothing? :(

really dont care about your thoughts on the game and the development. I dont think 7 months for an update is good by any standards. now please go on ranting its all good. my opinion stays the same
You're allowed to voice your opinion, just don't try to back up your opinion with stuff that is false or misleading like saying "there will probably only be 2 scenes" That's how rumors are spread whether you intend that or not.

If you don't like the length of development that's fine you can continue to not support the dev and move on to other games.

I just don't get all the hate, Magicnuts is one of the most hardworking devs team in the business that produces quality content consistently. I was proud to be able to support them and not just the peanut tier either, regrettably personal problems prevented me from supporting and funding the game further or I would still be a Patreon. This game is simply the best hand drawn game in the adult scene, period and Magicnuts is a great dev. I honestly don't get all the vitriol specially from people that has never supported. Ludicrous.

It's a largely vocal minority, for every one person who comes here to make these negative comments there's 10 people who will defend the devs. And then another 100 people who play the game and love it and never say anything and just patiently wait for the next release. This is true in all corners of the internet so it's never going away, it's just something that most reasonable people just have to put up with sadly. I'm also a Patreon supporter and know how incredible the devs are personally so sometimes I come here to defend them but it's honestly a waste of my time.

I think the biggest problem is that Magicnuts literally states, even now, in their Patreon that the expected release schedule is every 3-5 months, when the gap between "recent" updates was:

0.3 (Sept 2020)->0.4 5 months (Feb 2021)
0.4->0.5 7 months (Sept 2021)
0.5->0.6 7+ months (probably no sooner than May 2022, which would be 8 months)

Maybe they do honestly intend to get back down to 3-5 month updates in 0.7 and beyond, but that will be like, a year and a half or more where their patreon description doesn't reflect the reality. I'd suspect at least some people will be less salty if they made it clear on their Patreon description that people should adjust their expectations, but yeah, a lot of people will just continue whining no matter what.

I kinda agree with you. And even they already that said that updates can take longe depending of the amount of content, devs also said sometime ago that 0.6 won't be as big as 0.5. Even so, 0.6 will take more time than 0.5 (don't forget that after total content reach 100%, still there is the debug/polish to reach 100%). I'm not doubting dev's words or work ethics. I'm just saying that i also think that their statements about updates frequency should be changed because is clear that 6 months or more to updates is the new norm right now.
