Development for the next update for What A Legend! is getting a little long in the tooth, but it's nowhere near as bad as the worst of the worst offenders so far.

Y'all see the last update for Being a DIK? They update something like twice a year and they wasted a full update on a stand alone chapter for a character that only a few people even like, let alone want to see content for. And to make matters worse it was ten minutes long which is a big departure from their usually meaty update. Until WAL does something like that, there's nothing to worry about.

In his defense (single developer), although I haven't played it, the BaDIK intermission episode was well communicated well in advance, was the topic of frequent communication, and took far less time to develop than the regular content.

Things that are with good quality takes time, and this game have one of the best quality i've seen with every update, drawings, scenarios, story, narrative and jokes, scenes, it's pretty rare see bugs on their release and if any is found they resolve quickly. This married couple is doing this, they offer quality and no less.

Oh god don't remind me of BaDIK. I played the recent update and was simply disappointed. And I haves stopped visiting IW's forum.

At least Being a DIK release twice a year and Innocent Witches have at least one scene with one of the four main heroines having intercourse with MC. You must play Witch Hunter Trainer that with luck have one release in a year after promises of "end of the month" with no intercourse yet with the heroine on main story but only in bad end that doesn't count as be sure because MC was half hallucinating the entire scene. There is another called Thrallworks Orientation which after a year of the Demo in Ren'py there is still no release in the new Unity conversion but there is nice looking outstanding art in the Patreon that sometimes a bit of it can be seen in the official twitter...

you really think the last update was small? took me at least 2hrs to read and play through it. art was amazing and even though pistachio was critical of his work being a bit dark, i really enjoyed it

And if they released actually small updates with 1 or 2 scenes every 3 months people would complain that it's not enough. People will always cater their narrative around their opinions to justify it to themselves. Have some developers done this? Probably ya, does Magicnuts? Not at all, they even recently released a poll to ask people if they wanted shorter more consistent updated and it was overhwhelmingly voted for the larger updates with 5-7 scenes (Like the last two updates) They also openly admit they don't want the wait to be this long but they're doing their best

84 days from release of 0.2 to 0.3, added 470MB of content. 146 days from release of 0.3 to 0.4, added 670MB of content. 223 days from release of 0.4 to 0.5, added 920MB of content. Added content per day has remained in the 4—6 MB/day range. "small updates once or twice a year" is an objectively false statement if applied to this game.

Oh damn it's been 7 months? It felt like just yesterday there were arguments leading up to the last release.

Excited for when the next update comes out. They've knocked it out of the park every time so far. I will continue my existence as a polite leech who comes in, checks the tracker, thinks "Not yet, oh well" and doesn't leave weird hate comments. See you guys next time I randomly check in!

Their current modus operandi is to complete a character arc each update, so don't expect scenes from other characters, maybe a random one or two like Hammerdick in the previous update but mostly expect Rose.
