Hi everybody.
I hope you're all feeling well and are ready to enjoy your warm weekend (it's very warm here in Spain, at least). We've been busy as usual, working on the polish of the update and doing everything from fixing typos to changing entire scenes; yesterday, for example, we redid an entire cutscene (new art, new writing, new posing) because the old one didn't work, and now it's much more in line with other events in the game. Chestnut has been fixing and changing a lot of the cutscenes and sprites, and I have added most of them to the game. Some were unintended mistakes (e.g. a mouth being too big), others were new suggestions to improve the game visually and story-wise, and right after this report, I intend to build distributions again (i.e., export the game) and send it to her so she can test it and see if the changes work.
Aside from the current bugs, we're missing testing/polishing the sex scenes and the Rose-Myrtle event.
We want to have everything finished by the next report so that we can give enough time to external testers to properly evaluate the game and give us time to make changes if necessary.
Do I think we can manage everything in one week? I hope so. I know it will look bad on me to say I'm not hopeful right after last week saying that we will probably release the game in June, but we're working as hard as we can trying to make sure that we reach our deadline. If for whatever reason we reach July (if we see another big event that needs redoing, for example, which will take up one to two days of our time), then I can promise a refund to any of the current patrons who would like to receive one.
At this stage, everything has its final shape, and things are finally being polished and look the way we meant them to look months ago when we planned them, and we can't wait to share Rose's story with you all and see if you like it.
That's all.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers
