Weekly report 158
Hi, everybody.
I hope you're all doing well.
Last week, we started a poll to determine which towns and World locations people are most eager to see, and although we're not going to post the results as this poll doesn't have an end date, it's still interesting to check it out and see how different towns are faring so far (and vote if you haven't already). It's perhaps not surprising that the New Capital is the favorite since it will be the largest map we have; what's more surprising is the popularity of Hump Town, a place I don't believe we've mentioned in the game before. We plan to design it in the style of 1001 Nights stories and look forward to adding it to the game when the time is right.
Speaking of adding new towns, Chestnut has finished the map she was working on, complete with all of its locations, buttons, and day/night variations. I can't reveal which town it is, and we will only be using one of its locations in version 0.7 (similar to how we added Cin Town in 0.6) but I think people will like it. She has also completed one cutscene for an optional but adorable event and has started another larger, more sexy cutscene.
I have been working on the final event from Gomira's first quest, adding new dialogues, posing characters, and modifying the code in one instance, which I believe improves it. I'm making progress, slower than I'd prefer since this event involves several new characters that require careful development, but making progress all the same. In the coming week, I plan to do something different (to vary it a little) and work on posing the travel events of 0.7 (I have coded it already). I will also add the new map to the game.
Chestnut will continue working cutscenes, first finishing the one she recently started, and afterward, she plans to play through the game a few times to test everything that's been done so far, take note of the necessary art tasks, and provide feedback on the new content I've added to the game since she last tested it.
That's all for now.
I hope you all have a great great weekend.
Cheers!
