Yep, pretty linear. Just much slower.Seems pretty linear to me given the state of things. They also have an infant.

Ouch, damn.
Context matters. He was replying to a comment from a guy who regularly complains about having to wait for years to get Princess Serena's update. But you won't see context if the ones scrapping that message don't want you to see it hisnik2Ouch, damn.
It's easy and yeah, it has been discussed before. You plan, you do, you test and replay what you did, you see things don't work and have to redo them, so you add another task to show things didn't go as planned and you'll need to work some more, creating different artwork, dialogues or whatever. At some point, all the planned content is finally done and then, when you replay what you have (your 'alpha' version), you add editing tasks to show you aren't happy with the results and you need to keep fixing, improving and redoing some things. As simple as that. You call it moving the goalposts, I'd say is being transparent with your supporters and telling them the update will take longer as soon as you know it will.I imagine y'all discussed this already, but it's kinda scary how the goal posts continue to move on these progress indicators:

Now I can understand when you're months away from the end goal that things can creep a bit, but if your total planning is complete, it's a little weird that every single report has continual creep on whatever aspect you're working on.
Plus, they've been polishing it for two months, what's up with that?
Still, that's not how you're supposed to respond to your patron. Better just let them be.Context matters. What is it gonna take to make people FINALLY admit this is a scam and they just aren't working on it or if they are it's no more than an hour a week or so. People just gobble down one excuse after the next and even go out of their way to attack anyone that points out what a scam this is.
2+ years with nothing to show for it is a valid thing to complain about. I have a programing job and even on the bigger projects if I went more than 2 weeks without any obvious signs of work being done my boss would be breathing down my neck.Context matters. Yeh that's life. Until there is a real update, then we got a few months peace, and then they come back complaining. What a disrespect to community.
How people even support that.
How they dare to tell to people to go play other games, don't they understand it's not the same, it's almost like telling someone to go swim in the iver because the beach is interdict, it's likely a total disrespect for beach simps, are they just nuts...What a disrespect to community.
How people even support that.
This 100%. Too many people are so clueless about how game design works. Goals and tasks change all the time for many reasons, all with the goal of making the best possible product. Fixing one bug may case two others to appears, needing them to be added to the tally of tasks. Editing always go through multiple passes before settling on a result. It's easy and yeah, it has been discussed before. You plan, you do, you test and replay what you did, you see things don't work and have to redo them, so you add another task to show things didn't go as planned and you'll need to work some more, creating different artwork, dialogues or whatever. I didn't say it was the polite or even the right way to answer. But this guy has never been a patron and is, indeed, a regular complainer.Still, that's not how you're supposed to respond to your patron. Better just let them be.
First things first, don't pronounce that banned name !!!What is it gonna take to make people FINALLY admit this is a scam and they just aren't working on it or if they are it's no more than an hour a week or so. People just gobble down one excuse after the next and even go out of their way to attack anyone that points out what a scam this is.
This is ICSTOR behavior.
You know devs don't give a fuck about people complaining on this site. They still got supporters and get paid anyway...First things first, don't pronounce that banned name !!!
Secondly of course it's obvious if you've been in the porn game community long enough, for me it's 15years+ you can easily compare creators to each other, everybody is different and has different drives so having some longer or shorter time frames is normal, however past a certain point it's obvious they are not working on it everyday. Especially that they are 2 I believe wife does art, hubby does rest. Meaning if anything it should be a little faster than most devs who are indeed solo. And don't give me the "but the art is high quality" bullshit, if you've been around the art community a while you'll have learned that people can draw extremely quickly, to this day I'm still shocked at the speed some people draw high quality. Just look around if you don't believe me. Look at speed drawings on youtube as an exemple and check out the insane good looking shit they pull out in like 30 minutes. Again I'm not saying she is one of the speed artist, that's also a skill you train of course, but the point still stands that everything is taking too long to make it a believable work time.
PS: I don't really care about this thread I only check in every 6 months or so xD Just wanna add some fuel for entertainment !
Yeah that actually seems like a pretty valid complaint and I don't see how that guy is in the wrong here.Context matters. He was replying to a comment from a guy who regularly complains about having to wait for years to get Princess Serena's update. Noone is saying that. We are saying paying them makes them work slower...You know a scam.I didn't say it was the polite or even the right way to answer. But this guy has never been a patron and is, indeed, a regular complainer.
People asking what's going on get replies explaining what's going on. People complaining about the update taking so long get replies asking them to find something else to do in the meantime, as they are not adding anything meaningful to the discussion: they don't care about reasons given and those messages don't magically speed up process because no matter what the development experts here may say, pressuring devs won't make them work faster and better.
oh yeah, absolutely. it only takes time when you're still bad, which you can see from the images straight away no matter how much time was used.if you've been around the art community a while you'll have learned that people can draw extremely quickly,
I'm more interested to see the number of patreons for example, it's now 1902 members and they are getting paid 6997 every month. No idea how much patreon takes and after taxes and such.
So how is that number going down? in Comparison with 12 months back... ?
