I have a lot to say, but overall, I like the direction that this game is heading towards. For what it has right now, it has great artwork/scenes, a story with multiple plotlines that may intrigue readers for the future, and exemplifies some of the amazing things the Ren'Py engine can be capable of.

However, I do worry, as development continues for this game, that story sequence breaking may happen (i.e. ). If future areas get added and bring with them more lewd content, I worry it may be overwhelming to manage that within the vision of this game and may cause burnout/abandonment of the project entirely.

Perhaps it's not my place to speculate, but that's just what I honestly think. Still, this is good work and I hope everyone supports the creator on Patreon or wherever else.

edit as of 10/15: dropping the score down to 3 starts from 5 because of the update history. Still great material for what it is, but such is the curse of the million year long dev cycle...imagine finishing a game...

Great graphic adventure, interesting story arcs, nice characters, even better art and animations

Sadly, it has really long waiting times (half a year each new version). But they are worth the wait.

This game has amazing art and world building. The setting is a pretty generic fantasy setting but it's good enough to work as the background for the game. gameplay. The characters are all fleshed out enough to have a personality and the sex scenes are very well animated. The gameplay isn't too bad either. One of my favorites!

You will be offered choices while following the story. But the choices are all fake and if you pick the "wrong" choice the game will then immediately continue with the other "correct" choice.

Without a doubt the best 2DCG game. Even when compared to the 3DCG game this one still lies in top. Loved the artstyle it's great and models too. There is humor. Loved it. And quests are enjoyable. Game with sandbox element but it's not that much grinding. Story is good. There is sound effects to give more ampience to thr game. Overall this one is truly worth playing.

Reviewing v0.5.01

Normally I strongly dislike games that only offer an illusion of choice and this game does tend to do that a lot. But the character and art design is so good I can't give this anything but 5 stars. Another thing this game does really well is the pacing of character interactions and their arcs. I've genuinely fallen for the female characters in this game which is extremely rare. And that makes the eventual, well paced sexual encounters so much more satisfying.

While I do wish the releases were quicker, I liken these devs to Rockstar games. They might take a while but the eventual release is just a piece of art that's so worth the wait.

A benchmark in quality. The level of care in creating this is crazy. The art is amazing, and characters have life! Be it in the scenes or when youre just talking to them. The animation and art is of high quality (comes with shading, nauncy of skin tone, and engaging backdrops). Avoids saturation of characters without content - the characters that are there have a story and the writing tells it well. Thus, brings you more into the world they are creating and leads to a greater degree of engagement.

There are many reviews in this thread detailing how great this game is from a technical and artistic level - with good reason. But what should be noted is the creation of the game itself. The first version was released around April of 2020. As we all know, staying indoors and traveling only when strictly necessary was key. During that time, many of us thought, "hey I should learn how to do this" or "I'm going to finally start doing XYZ". Well a team did just that. I don't know if the idea for WAL came about before everything or after, I just know they sought to do something with their time that they wanted to do and followed through.

Now we're here with one of the best games on the site. The writing is fantastic. Its funny and actually makes you care about the characters you talk to, which I think greatly adds to the nature of the game since you are more invested. The amount of time it takes to make such great/detailed art cannot be understated - who knows how long and tedious it must be to get a character's face or piece of clothing to look just so. Actually, we do! The development team has consistently kept in contact with its community members about how the update is moving along and behind-the-scenes of how the game is being developed! Also, they encourage community engagement with polls on what character(s) should be focused on in the next update and so on. Not to mention, the creators seem like nice people.

TLDR: The combination of community engagement, great care behind the game, and consistently great updates has made one of the best games on the site and a benchmark of how good a game can be. Likeable characters, a caring and smart protagonist, terrific dialogue, and S tier scenes with multiple angles/moving parts come together to make a terrific experience.

I dont know kinda pointless to me, why even make decisions when they have 0 Impact whatsoever. Just dont see the point in playing then. The rest looks kinda ok, but u just click around, doesnt really matter what you do or how or when its just looking and clicking, I dont know just semms pointless imo

What a Legend! was a pleasant surprise, as I typically have no love for the 2D point & click genre (just far too many mediocre ones spoiled it). Yet this managed to capture that almost nostalgic feel of the early greats


H-scenes
Overall the animations and statics are simply beautiful. It's clear as day that the couple/team of MagicNuts have poured a lot of time, love, and care into each.

The "worst" complaint you will find is that due to said attention and care, there's a decent bit of downtime between updates. But what's there and planned is certainly enough to show this is worth the wait

Pure vanilla in terms of kink variety at the moment, but with some planned on the way from the looks of it

In conclusion: If you want to play a 2D point & click adult game, that harkens back to the flash games of old, but with incredible artwork and a sprinkle of meta-humour. Play it

Probably the best art of 2DCG games I have ever played
Female characters are designed to be very attractive
And I think it is generally acceptable to the public
Although MC also has the typical big dick(I'm a fan of this)
But it doesn't make people feel bored or unchanged

The plot is humorous and engaging

The process of solving the puzzle is not too difficult
Even so, the game is very generous and clear in terms of hints

It is great that there is also a scene playback function
Although it can be seen that many characters have not yet finished sex scenes
But you can find the sex scenes are very rich

The only fly in the ointment is no voice actress
Not even having sex sound effects

From the very start this game impresses with it's art, the best i've seen in any 2d game. In terms of gameplay there is no grind or minigames to distract you, and there are zero bugs I encountered.

Story (both main and side-stories) is great and consistent. There is enough mystery and world-building to keep you interested! One of the best things about this game is how they blend the main story with side ones for example: something you unlock in the main story is used in a girl's route and but has different variation if you haven't progressed the main story.

This shows me how passionate and dedicated the developers are to prevent inconsistencies and immerse players.

Story/Art/Gameplay are top tier without issues, it's very rare to see a game balance all 3 well. Well deserved 5/5.

This game is one of the best I've played. The art is just beautiful. It is funny and entertaining. I played both on Android and Windows with (almost) no issues. It looks to me that a lot of content is in the works and I looking forward to updates.

The production value on this game is utterly phenomenal. I have rarely seen art this good. The story is fantastic, the dialog is great, and I am enjoying the game greatly.

This games invokes nostalgia with the point and click adventure, but does it better than any triple A point and click game I ever played. I have also never encountered a bug in this game, it is clear that there is actual playtesting involved before release.

Standout character drawings.

The quality of the stills doesn't quite carry over into the animation but it's good enough that I don't think it really matters that much.

Story is good and the characters are distinctive both in writing style and visually. Writing is also of good quality.

Perfection. Incredible art, great models, interesting story, humorous, fun gameplay. The developers make great decisions constantly. First game I showed my wife and she's a fan, that's how good this game is.

Art and Details:
The game has an amazing art direction, the animations are fantastic, every detail is spectacular. It's remarkable how careful the developers are with this game.

Gameplay and Optimization:
In all updates, the game rarely has any bugs, this is very unconventional, congratulations to the developers. The game's optimization is incredible, extremely fluid and has no crashes, even on older computers.

Game Plot:
By far one of the best stories I've seen in games of this genre, if not the best.
The story is funny, the fantasy universe is unique and spectacular, I look forward to more updates.

Wonderful art and a witty story full of humor, this game goes far beyond established expectations. The only downside is that the updates are not as frequent as they should be. I'm looking forward for more content.

What a Legend!ary game! Another rare entry to a tiny selection of games I wish I could give a 6 out of 5. It's just that good.

What a Legend brought me back to that relaxed cozy feel of adventure games of yore (King's Quest, Kyrandia, or Broken Sword to name a few). But now with porn! The perfect way to dream away the winter cold. Almost hard to believe only two people primarily made it.

The 2D hand-drawn art is just gorgeous, and the quality and consistency is just nuts (MagicNuts). Lovingly crafted and beautifully detailed environments, map, and let's not forget the cast either. WAL also totally nails the light-hearted adventure vibe, featuring great writing with a nice dose of comedy, fourth-wall breaking, pop-culture referances etc. without going too heavy on the comedy. And yeah, it even throws in an actual interesting plot with interesting and likable/hateable (as appropriate) characters. It's not like it's trying to be Game of Thrones or anything, but I genuinely want to see where this goes in future episodes.

As for the sexy-times, it's plentiful and hot of course. Fairly vanilla mostly, with an Orc bj, as well as a certain side quest involving a pair of beer-enchanted (I'm guessing) goggles - currently ranking highest on the kink-o-meter.

The gameplay itself is fairly simple, but fun. There's a map and you move around on it. You advance the plot mainly by clicking hotspots in the right place at the right time. You can tackle side quests out of order and at your own pace to some degree, but ultimately there is a single linear path to follow. And I think that's perfectly fine, not everything needs to be a VN with branching (and more often than not: nonsensical) paths. I perhaps could have wished for a bit more in the puzzle-department, at least for side quests, and for the inventory to be utilized at least a little bit to make contraptions out of illogical ingredients - adventure style - but I'm picking nits here. Perhaps in future versions?

To summarize, I loved every minute of this game and can't wait for more. Was really sad when, to my great dismay, it turned out the game didn't go on forever...

If it was possible i would give this a 3.5*. The one annoying thing for me is that the MC acts like he has a mental issue. i do not find this appealing.
The animations and art however are super hot! the writing is so so and the story is basic and safe. i fell that with this setting the devs could have went a step further to really separate this game from the other kinds of games out there.
