There are quite a lot of games that I've seen get abandoned. My personal favorite was Hotel.

Bright Sun's Card Adventure was one of my fav that got abandoned quick and also Fountain of Mana was one of the first adult games I played and it got abandoned, was also a great game. And also Sophie very promising that got abandoned after first version.

The two main reasons for games that get abandoned is what I can see, it takes to long for 1 person to make the game, and they get bored/tired, and of course the other is the person don't get enough money that they wanted.
