So It just dawned on me, I have since I was 18 lots of hentai VHS, DVD's and games, bought all original maybe total over 100, anyways I was wondering what would you do when you get older, do you ever think about what if you die, all this stuff gets spilled out in the open by your family and relatives friends etc.. find out what your secret little hobby is, do you ever think about things like this? I thought about it and realized this is another benefit to pirating games. not having the original means nothing physical to show. Kind of embarassing as an introvert this weighs on me heavily lol.

oh and as for my age I'm getting close to 50 with nothing to show for my life , well nothing except cartoon porn games and movies lol

No.

I'm older than you, since I'm already over 50 and, well, I don't see where there's an issue exactly. Hell, among the porn I have, there's few magazines that my wife brought back from her grand parents house after their death. It's parts of life and, well... How to say it ? If your family and close friends are shocked by this, or judge you because of it... hmm, I want to say that they don't deserve your interest, but you'll be dead when it will happen, so...

If I were to throw caution to the wind I'd have some hentai figures, it wouldn't be a lot of ecchi. It would be the most hardcore I can find, tentacle DP, clear pussy showing huge boobs out etc with some of the most sexy One Piece Nami/Robin available (if any). I don't think I'd be a collector though, because of money. Just laser focused on the right ones.

Image - if people respect you in some way, or more accurately have nothing to shame you for, look down upon you, you'd like to keep that. I don't want family knowing my fetishes and the amount I'm into them. Uncle died some years back and he had a locked laptop, I don't think he had anything embarassing on there anyway, the people who tried to log-in (mainstream normal women) would look down on anything untoward if there was because he had some loose ties to organized religion.

Space - I don't like having physical junk taking up space. Pyramid of funko-pop collections, racks of manga/comics/dvd/mainstream garbage films, same applies to hentai. Those things are not for me. Not necessarily because I hate the I.P.'s they represent, just don't want that in my room. . . people with those big collections all look like they have so much disposable income to indulge in that when they post pics of their rooms anyway lol. Also I'll never re-watch those films or re-read a book in physical form, it's much easier opening a MP4 on your pc.

PC digital stores and preservation/backup/piracy just makes having physical video-games moot (for me) and solves the space/clutter problem, but that's mainstream perception now. Another is with password and encryption you have a unbreakable lock if you die. I haven't set any of that up yet in terms of locking hard drives, but I plan to once I pass a threshold of space. Maybe that's a thread to make to ask for advice.

One thing that is niche to my situation is my paypal is banned because of my own mistake many years back which I own. So that removes my option to sell any mainstream shit (dvd's/comics/games/PC parts). That is a big block for me in collecting anything - especially pop-culture shit. I am not going to throw anything away either of the little I do have now. I can always craiglist them away for crackhead prices and I've had some success with getting rid of old junk at low price. It's also means I am very cautious with upgrading my PC. I have to keep something for a very long time because I can't sell the parts if it requires involving paypal which is basically most things I would want to sell. Anything expensive like $1000+ Nvidia GPU is out of the question for craiglist/meet-ups (I know sites dealing with graphics cards is an option, but that's only one component).

This is pretty fucked up considering the near-monopoly that is paypal. Frankly seems like it would be illegal unless it's actually dictated by law somehow. You really couldn't open a new paypal with a new bank account or something?

Edit: FWIW I'm not fishing for more detail about the mistake, it seems like you may not want to elaborate and I respect that.

I think you might be worrying a little too much over it, from the way you phrased it, your family and friends don't know about your hobby but that means you also don't know about theirs. Talking from personal experience here, there have been a few deaths in my family and of close family friends and when we've gone around to help clear out the old home we found lots of porn (maybe not lots compared to our standards though lol). Most of it was "thrown away" only to be divided up as everyone left.
The thing I remember most was how "shocked" everyone pretended to be while already arguing over who got the playpen collection before it made it to the throw out box and that box was always empty by the time everyone left. The last one I went to many years ago I managed to get a couple of stiffies with some nice BBS images on them.

I'd say don't worry about it, I guess some will be divided up and go to good homes:cool: and the rest thrown out  but you will be dead so it won't really matter.

There are magazines and VHS tapes I have, that I feel like I should hold on to purely because they have become "vintage" of sorts by now, lol. But there are other ones that I could afford to destroy. As for the digital side of the things, I hope my partner (I'm single at the moment but who knows what the future might hold) can either delete everything, or use the data for her own enjoyment. Whatever works.

Ok what about, leaving a note incase of my death, the things I bought you might find, I swear I got them when I was just a kid, I kept them for vintage and nostalgic reasons ahh remembering the days of fapping, ahem anyways to all whom read this, know this, I was once a perv, I grew out of it... I did I swear! Anywys but could not find the time to sell these products while I was alive, the plan was to collect, wait 50 or so years and hope the prices will rise and make some thousands off of them, making my money back and then some, clearly I failed at this, so whoever finds this or whomeverl, don't fucking judge me! lol

Well, it is my understanding that a great majority of the human population has a healthy appetite for erotic stimuli. Even my own parents have found my stash of porn magazines back in the day and sort of had to accept that as a part of my growing up, and they are pretty prudish people. I'm pretty sure that they know I still enjoy porn, as much as they want to, and in fact do, deny all that. My friends certainly know I watch porn, and so do my exes.

I think a part of it comes down to how much information you want to share with the people in your life. I prefer to keep my parents in the dark about a lot of things, but I let my friends and my romantic partner know a lot more. I just think, at least for me, it's easier and safer this way. Besides, when that inevitable event happens, chances are no one will care all that much at that point.

Why are you so insecure about this stash anyways? Most people don't care about porn, everyone consumes it.

But honestly if it bothers you that much just throw it all away or sell it, sounds like it is a source of anxiety for you so why hold onto it?

I doubt you are still using that stuff anyways, there will always be porn over the internet, there is no need to hoard old stuff.

They leave you because you weren't being honest with them to begin with - no matter what they find. It's just that some lies and obfuscations are more detrimental to relationships than others.

Let's put it another way - why would you marry someone that you feel you could not share your desires with (even if you have some extreme interests)? Perhaps marriage isn't for you, or at least not with that person. Or perhaps, if you do have extreme interests, you should seek more professional support that can assist you with that before considering marriage.

In the end, I agree with Meaning Less that you should probably just toss anything material out - in this day and age, there is no need to have physical copies of nearly anything out there. Hell, I tossed out what old shit I still had sometime around Y2K. Magazines, VHS tapes, DVDs, etc are outdated. In fact, even keeping things on portable drives are just about as outdated. There ain't shit on my systems or drives.

I think it's because when I was 18 I ordered 400 quid worth of porn hentai DVD's online, it was ceased by the customs and I lost all the money. They sent me letter saying it was obscene material and it was illegal to import them in, and they will let it slide this time, but in the future proceedings will take place if this happens again. Since then I been pirating Hentai, anime etc.. lol but that was in the 90's I grew up through the 2000 thinking what I did was bad and since then I've hidden it from the world of what I like lol.

Oh and just for the record, if a game is censored I pirate them too, and any hentai or porn related material gets pirated, this is the way government treated me, and the shop owners for not doing anything to help me. So I pirate everything now.

I guess I'm insecure about it, because I've met girls when I was going gym, and they don't seem like the type to like me if I told them the truth, and they all hit on me when I got a sexy body in the 4 years of intense training. I'm starting to think if I hook up with a new girl what happens if they find out lol Oh yeah and I also have 30kg worth of gaming magazines maybe 50kg in boxes from the 90's and early 2000, gaming magazines though only 1kg worth of real life porn and maybe only 500g of hentai books though lol. I feel like i would rather sell it than toss it out, but only if I get married.

It be hard to sell it if I get married though, oh whats that dear, oh nothing darling just some old magazines I'm selling.... Oh? what type of magazines nothing really just some old gaming magazines that I had, Let me see? It's all boxed up now I'm ready to ship out I'll buy you a gift with the money I make from them... hmm okay ;D phew.. close one lol

That's just it, I would rather make sure that my stash be one of the deciding factors as to why my spouse and I got married in the first place. This sort of thing determines whether or not you and your partner are on the same page where the sexual preferences and interests are concerned, and how sexually compatible you are with each another.
