What genres/tags do you enjoy?

I have some ideas for creating a game/story and want to see opinions on what works and what doesn't. It would also be great to know what you think about the listed genres and what makes you like or dislike each one.
For example, I’ve never liked (Mind Control) because I don’t see the heroine developing or changing, but I wanted to understand why some people are into it.

What works is what a developers likes, knows, and desires to put into their own game ... A game that is their dream game, one which no one has ever made for them but that they yearn to play it for themselves.

What doesn't work is using opinion polls of a minority of a minority of a minority of a minority of a minority of people who play adult games. 90% of whom will never offer a dollar of support so that a creator can pay the bills while developing said game.

Almost everything I get off to now is corruption-flavored. And not just promiscuity either, we're talking moral degeneration, indoctrination, stuff like that.

As for mind-control, it comes in many different flavors, from instant mind-break power-fantasy (Overwhored) to slow brainwashing (Star Knightess Aura) to self-reprogramming. Sadly I think most people who encounter it here see in its laziest form, as a gimmick to get to fucking mom without really having to interact with her. The poll option certainly points that way. I doubt most devs who use it that way care about the fetish at all, it's just an excuse to get things going without months of building a relationship and breaking down barriers.

IMHO Mind Control is the hardest fantasy to pull off, as it basically goes against the very nature of erotica. How about if you mind control someone but they are like, still in there, but only able to watch what's going on. They can feel the pain and pleasure but someone else is pulling the strings?
Would that be considered mind control? or would it fall into corruption?

Speaking of hoops, it reminds me of Snow Daze—one of the few mind‑control games I’ve actually enjoyed—because it’s not just about seizing control and getting straight to sex. You have to go through hoops and make the right decisions, or it’s instant game over. You need to advance gradually, always picking the milder choices until the heroine is completely submissive and under your control.

I think he's talking about when the heroine is in a state without reaction or emotion, like a puppet, sometimes she has blank eyes, but I think blank eyes are used more in Mind-Break.

I love futanari, but I also love games that feel organic as opposed to poll-fed, shall we say. It may be better to create the game that you want to make - something you feel passionate about. I'm not exactly an experienced producer, but I reckon your game would feel more authentic as an experience if you told the story you want to tell.
