Personally, I prefer corruption games. In particular, blackmail style of corruption. However, this is pointless to me if it's a female protag. Afterall, if the female is the lead and you are choosing to blackmail her, you're basically doing it to yourself and it loses all purpose. I'm also of the less popular mindset that it's almost preferable that the main character isn't handsome or popular unless he's a less than moral person. Again, if he can get what he wants through normal means, it's pointless. It also helps when the blackmailee is in a position of power and kind of deserves the abuse because of their own moral shortcomings.
Friends In Need does the first part very well. The main character does things that honestly make him a horrible person but he can still flirt with a moral code. The second one you almost never see because it's not financially viable. Most gamers fall into a nerdier stereotype and want to play as the cool guy. Thus most of the MCs have gigantic dicks and washboard abs.
The one genre I hate is romance. Unless you are writing a game where the main character is only going to hook up with one female, it's bs fantasy. Too many games pretend to develop romantic relationships while saying but I'm also hooking up with every other woman in the game.
Last point, I'm cool with incest but it's not expressly necessary. But if it's used, keep it somewhat realistic. I hate when a story retcons a MC to suddenly have fifty daughters he was unaware of just to call it incest. Defeats the taboo that comes with that genre because the character can disassociate with the idea of being related to someone he just met.
Beyond that, just be aware that some tags are instantaneously off putting. To each their own, but I tap out when I see a Futa tag personally. The community seems to think it's the most common thing in the world, but it's not really. No moral issue with it. It's just not going to appeal to me.
Sorry for getting wordy. Guess I had opinions. lol
