I don't like games with unavoidable sex scenes because I like to pick and choose who I date.

so many things make me just skip without looking.

anything under v03-v06 is skipped for later, a bit depending on whether there's sex with main girls or not. sidechar sex and dream sex doesn't count. (in fact dream sex is usually instant delete).

-loli, shota
-ai cg
-ahegao
-female protagonist
-multiple protagonist
-netorare
-manga == skip
-RPGM (I like rpgs and puzzle solving, but if I wanna play 80s games I'll go play zelda. I know there are RPGM games that avoid the rpgm ui and use it exactly like renpy, but I can't be bothered to go through the others to find them.)
-HTML (again I don't hate it as a platform, I just can't take the awful awful UIs people make. I mean nowadays you could run a 3d MMORPG on HTML but the games here are like first time homepages in 1995.)
-futa etc. (don't mind if it's an avoidable character, but life is too short to check. with avoidable I mean avoidable sex.)

there's tons of others, but I never get there because these will already make me skip. and frankly most of these are already implied by the title or latest updates banner so I rarely even click further.

HS is a mixed bag. not crazy about the style, but if everything else checks the right boxes then there's a handful of these I've gladly played.

there's also a whole another list of things that make me quit the game. like dream sex, easy sluts, fake choices, instant sex, 50cm+ dicks. excluding ridiculous dicks these are mostly issues with 'how stories should be told'. I'm fine with grind, bad grammar, bad plots, any tropes, 2 frame animations etc.

games with forced Loli LI or ones that give me that Loli feel like Little Regina. I might play a game with a loli if I can avoid them as a romance.
Other content that is forced I give games the 3 strike rule of forcing content on me before I move on.
Games that use Real people like in HTML games

Tier 1 - Makes me feel physically repulsed. As soon as I notice these games I actively avoid them.
Games that feature unavoidable sharing, NTR, cuckoldry, prepubescents or Futas.

Tier 2 - Makes me disinterested at best. Games in this tier last about 5-10 minutes at best before they end up in the bin.
Games that feature Female Protagonists or unavoidable Female Domination.
Games that are entirely text based, feature Real Porn or is AI CG (this last one may change as tech improves.)
Games in which I have no (sense of) agency such as your typical VN.

Tier 3 - Annoys me to some extend. Some games that are in this tier are still enjoyable to me overall.
Games where I have to pursue Heroine C (whom I dislike) in order to progress with Heroine B (whom I am interested in).
Games where I encounter bugs frequently. (I'm not talking occasional bugs, but things the dev should be aware of and simply chose to ignore without taking any action. Recently played one similar to mouto! Life monochrome, where simply selecting chat with your sister broke the game.)
Games where the MC is a coward though and through.

Tier 4 - I mean the game is cool and all, but it's just not my fantasy I guess. These games get a full playthrough more often than not, but I wouldn't rate them above 3.
Games that in which the art style is not either appealing (nothing beats Agent 17 or Desert Stalker in terms of appealing heroines) or at least unique (teaching feeling is the goat).
Games that focus too much on Milfs. I get it they are a popular fantasy, but it's not my jam.
Games that are too grindy. If it takes me more than an hour to make progress because I have to play the same mini-game over and over to get whatever currency then I tend to get distracted and either cheat or macro my way out of it which diminishes the experience somewhat.

Hard pass
- NTR and similar fetishes - I don't get it, and I don't get why it's so popular recently.
- Scat or piss. Or gore.
- any "trainer" game.
- any game about running a brothel or playing as a prostitute.
- No Sexual Content.

Games I will usually skip after a quick look at the screenshots and description
- Incest - I don't mind optional incest with some characters, but most games with this tag are about nothing but incest, so I avoid it. Futa with the same problem, I'm fine with having some in a game, but often it's all the game really has.
- Japanese games with the art style where everything is usually super shiny and all characters look like they're 12 or have brain damage (or both). I don't know how else to describe it, but roughly half of all Japanese games I've seen fall into this category. Or any art style that just creeps me out or looks off putting, but it's usually Japanese games.
- AI CG. There's a couple that I think might be going somewhere if they don't get abandoned, but most are bottom of the barrel zero effort trash, even among porn games.
- 3d games with generic "realistic" art style or using real porn. At least have something unique about the art style or add some demons or aliens or SOMETHING. If it's a generic looking game about school or work or vacations or moving into a new town, I don't care how sexy the characters are, I'm not playing it.

Games I will delete after playing for a bit
- Games with no gameplay, or fake choice gameplay after 15 minutes of lame dialogue.
- Games that frontload giant lore dumps, unskipable scenes or super long tutorials with no player input and no porn.
- Most platformers. I get it, making games is hard, but how hard is it to not make a game with worse controls and gameplay than a commodore game? Very hard, apparently.

Kinetic novels, because they're not games, if that's what i wanted i'd read a doujin.

Also cuck games played from the perspective of the cuck, but i like them same as anything else if you're playing the slut or the cucker, especially if you're the cucker.

Also realporn and politically charged interracial games (that's black m on white f and a minority of black m on asian f interracial games)

I also tend to avoid loli or shota, not always, it's only really if a game looks exceptionally good in spite of it that i'll play 'em.

I avoid most games that use DAZ models. Saying that here of all places makes me feel like a fucking hipster

Most visual novels I won't even look past the thread image. The rare exceptions are the ones that deal with hard to find kinks that I enjoy, like shotas dominating milfs.

Another style of game that I mostly avoid is "lose4sex" or "avoid being raped" games, because it's a shit mechanic that rewards loss and makes winning/success a less desirable result. Fuck that shit.

  • Ren'py in general, I don't like VNs and the gameplay will likely be dogshit if it's not a VN in that engine.
  • RPGM games with 3D renders.
  • Games with Kosaitku (or whatever it's called) models. They just don't look good to me.
  • Purely text-based games with no image packs available.
  • Female protagonist games where there's a boyfriend that's brought up only once at the start so that all sex without him is NTR. Seriously, it would be this easy to not have him at all.

- any "trainer" game.
There have been a very rare few trainer games that are worth playing. The Hermione Trainer from Akabur is actually pretty decent, and what I'd consider the "standard" for such games.

What developers don't seem to understand, is with a trainer situation, the draw isn't so much the sex... but the act of taking one character and thoroughly corrupting them. Good girl/guy gone bad type of situation. The majority of the developers tend to err with this in two ways. Either the corruption takes so long and is so grindy, that the player loses interest; or it's too fast that it makes you wonder what the point was.
