I usually play incest games, in which almost every female in the game is related to the MC (who's usually male), so I will talk about NPCs for that type of game. But feel free to share about any kind you like, but please specify the role and gender of the NPC if you feel it's necessary.
For the mom I like her to be loving and wholesome, but not the innocent kind. I like the mom to behave like an adult woman that knows what she wants, but is also ready to compromise for her son because of the love that she has for him. And I don't mind the mom to be strict and dominant if she softens her rather strong personality as the game progresses.
I also like a sister to be friends with the MC. I usually see sisters that are brats or straight up rude to the MC (which I don't mind that much), but I do prefer a more wholesome and friendly relationship. And don't have a strong preference on big or little sister (or twin), could be any and I'd still be fine.
For aunts, I played many games in which devs usually make them as either the single woman that's horny all the time or the single mom that's horny all the time. And I kind of like it.
Another thing I'll say is that I actually love when stereotypical behaviors are changed for the MCs and they work. Like when the mom in True Bond behaves as a friend with the MC (maybe because she's not his biological mother and feels that's the only way she could get close to him). Also when the big sister in games has a more affectionate and loving personality with his little brother, filling in as the motherly figure.
Having shared all this I want to read about your personal preference for the personality of an NPC.
