Since we could use more happy and less angry, what do you enjoy and appreciate about the adult gaming community?

There are so many great games, and a lot of users here post funny, witty, interesting, and even controversial comments that make me appreciate the community overall, no matter how many of them don't know how to use the search function (or don't read).

So despite what might grind your gears, what do you enjoy about the the adult gaming section of the internet?

The discussions by far, I usually enjoy talking about a game that I love way more than actually playing it.

The way some devs are involved with us, suggesting something and then seeing it happen in game makes you feel like you are part of it, in a way.

Seeing how, some complaining boys aside, most of the members are really helpful and they don't mind repeating the same stuff time and time again if that makes that other person enjoy the game.

The peaceful feeling. Thanks to the staff and mods, but also to the majority of the members who play along and try to keep the community this way.

There's obviously some stupid brats like everywhere else, but mostly you can discuss of whatever (theme related) subject with devs or other players, you can totally disagree with someone and say it, and it still stay calm and polite. When you open a thread, you know that you'll find differing opinions, but that you'll generally not found hate. All opinions matter, whatever you're an old member, a newcomer, a dev or whatever, and all are equal.

This community is pretty awesome. You hear a lot of horror stories from women online about how they get harassed and abused with rape threats and whatever else the Tumblr tarts have to offer.

Never had that here.

On a forum surrounded by perverts i'd expect a lot of harassment yet i've met some of the nicest folks i've seen online. There are a few of us whamen folk on here and we have a laugh and joke with folks and i've never had any bullshit from anyone.

At most I have had a couple of run ins with a couple of idiots regarding me being a lesbian. One guy didn't like it because of his upbringing and another said I was only a lesbian because it was the PC thing to do. Yep, I eat pussy because it looks good on my resume, nothing to do with my sexual preference at all. Moron.

Apart from that I get along with most folks. Even those I disagree with about certain topics I still get along with. One person I have disagreed with a lot and we still have friendly chats every now and then.

I also like how devs interact with us pirate types. I get along great with some of them.

One thing i've loved is how some devs have come together to help others. I notice some go out of their way to help those struggling. Philly is one name I see come up a lot for helping others.

Shit I even love the mods here. I've only spoke to a few properly but i've had a chuckle in passing with some in threads. Even Bas that likes to give me warnings.

Only ones I don't like are the mysterious uploaders that delete or edit posts without any warnings. I know when a mod does something because I get a message to tell me to stop being a silly bitch.

Yeah when i started here, hell its going to be almost two years in a couple months, I had no idea what to think. But I remember joining, and asking where I can put up my 0.2 of DA and within minutes Jande helped me out. Then i had lots of feedback mostly good so that helped. Then i had people like vir_cotto and rodneyeatme among others say some really nice things in the really early days. Stuff like that really helped out especially when you are just starting out. So yeah, it can be a great support structure.

To piggy-back on Avaron1974 and Philly_Games -- that feel of developers and creators actually interacting with people here and some (ha not all) taking to heart the critiques and trying to genuinely improve. The community still has an indie-quasi underground feel to it where fellow deviants and creators can interact which makes it feel more personal to a degree that you don't really see in other gaming markets.

People are natural here. No pretending, no hidden plotting or schemes... And, yeah - "perverts" here are less perverted than most of the so-called upstanding citizens from the real world. Also, devs are really nice to fans - I just wish fans would be that way towards devs.

Yeah, f95 is a spectacularly nice site... especially if you compare it to the mainstream like twitter or youtube. In 63 pages of comments on my thread I've had maybe 3 that seemed malevolent - and the same seems to hold true elsewhere. Maybe it's an in-group thing... (Pervs United!) … but given the range of kinks and worldviews knocking around it seems the sanest corner of the internet. o_O

I like when I play Game and see clear improvements. There are Games that started as complete shitshows but slowly developed into incredibly nice Games.

The Quality improved quite a lot over the Years, especially when it comes to writing. Most Games nowadays have somewhat of a coherent story. I did not expect everything developing like that after the retards at Patreon banned DMD and BigBrother.

1-that this community exists!!(y)thanks to our beloved supreme leader F95 and his team .
2-perverted users on the other side of the world have the same tastes as mine:p:LOL: movies , games , anime , music , art, sisters ,mothers , daughters , aunties ,cousins :p
3-that most users understand well that this is a pirate forum(y)
4-users who always help by answering the questions :where is the walkthrough? when is the next update? where is the link?
for me they are the real heroes (y)
5-users who share previous from patreon ;)

My experience in other forums is that the threads of hate are the most popular ,fauxplayer good idea to create this thread to compensate a little (y)

i like the back and forth with folks from all over..i like how i am worshipped like the god i am here(i did not say that..my cat did) i like how my cat takes over my keyboard and says stupid shit...i have always been a fan of rendering and i get to see some truly outstanding examples in certain games..i've always enjoyed reading and i get to enjoy some well done(although still few the number is finally growing as many dev's are seeing a trend towards quality wanted over quantity)stories..as an old dodger..i'm not one for button mashing and combo mashing..so the relaxed nature of the games i get from here suit my style...i found my dream dame..who of course dosnt like penis and has no interest in guys..(Rob luck at its finest ;) ) (i'm joking of course..really..i am..do not panic :p ) it RELAXES me...i reallllly need that..cause i got issues..lol

I've gotten a lot of happiness from a lot of people who do really comprehensive and well structured review, pointing out the flaws and the good things alike. The fact that anyone would care enough to go through all that just to help me out with my little game is very humbling and have kept me going on the during more difficult times.
I've chatted extensively with a lot of people out there and it's really awesome to see people who don't judge you for what you like.

I started downloading games from here a few years ago, but never participated in the forums. I occasionally read one or two looking for some game help, but remained a lurker.

All the awesome games I played here inspired me to create my own, and when it came time to release it, f95 was the only place I tried to get my game posted on.

I was thoroughly expecting my game to get demolished in the thread, but found instead an overwhelming amount of support. The criticism I’ve received has been mostly polite and deserved.

I’ve received help and support from members, other devs, mods, staff, N7 and klx who helped me set up my discord, got my game on the featured games list, and have given me lots of great advice. I even found a skilled mod developer/programmer D.S.-sama to help me out for no promise of compensation, but just because he likes my game.

I would encourage any dev to promote their game here and participate in the community, and I would be more than happy to pay the support forward to anyone who asks.

All the years I sat playing adult games in my office alone with my dick in my hand, I was missing out on the adult gaming community that makes the experience so much more fun.

I only came across this site a month ago, after a few years hiatus from adult gaming. Aside from being a treasure trove, the feeling here is great. We are all here for similar things and we all have a passion for this medium.

In the 00-s, as I remember them, all communication was less “positive”, devs and gamers alike were in my experience more stand-offish,and non-cooperative.
I was honestly expecting this place to be full of complete jerks, but they thankfully seem to be few and far between. (Or properly handled by the mods)

Things have also changed massively for the better in terms of quality and competence. Western adult games sure have come a long way.

Oh, lots of things about this place make me happy, really. The porn is a big plus. Whenever somebody literate and with a good head for game design actually makes something that stands out from the crowd, it's always a good feeling. The fact that devs are finally beginning to understand that this forum is essential to getting their game funded (and learning what that means in terms of their expected conduct here) is great!

I'm also really glad that this is a place where people can say that a game sucks, and have a meaningful discussion on why that is. For better or worse, devs control the discussion on their Patreon pages and discord channels, and that can have a real chilling effect on porn game criticism. Here, devs are in basically the same position as players, and while there may be some cranky people who have trouble distinguishing between not liking a thing and that same thing being bad, there are also some very thoughtful voices among the user base.

Ultimately, I'm glad that this is not a judgment-free zone. Judgment is great! Unbiased reviews are great! I wish there was a trustworthy and encyclopedic review website for porn games like there are for non-porn games (or, in Rockpapershotgun's case, non-porn and LGBTQ-specific porn games. Hardcoded showed up there, for example, but I doubt we'll ever see a review for Summertime Saga on a mainstream gaming site. Or at least, not one that can judge the game on its merits beyond going 'Ewwww, porn! Shame!'), but until one gets made, this place is about as close as I've ever seen for such a large community of porn games as the Patreon gold rush has brought in. Good on us for staying as independent as we have!
