I was reading a post about your biggest turn-offs in games, so I have some questions as an aspiring dev.
1. What you guys are looking in a game?
2. There's something you didn't found in those games and would do diferently?
3. What are your favorite tags? (Not necesserely the ones in the site)
4. What you think about grind?
1: Power and control.
I play these games to feel empowered.
2: Alot of mind control games lack the control part.
You just turn them into sluts.
Likewise alot of slave games doesnt allow you to use your slave for stuff other then sex.
I would prefer it if games about slavery and mind control accauly gave us more to do with our slave's then sex and prostitution.
3: Mind control, mind break, corruption, male domination, rape, etc.
I am always looking for games that make me feel in control.
4: Grind is bad game design.
In games effort must be equal to reward.
Grinding is just repeat actions until quota has been reach then get a blowjob scene.....
Really a waste of time.
When designing a game always ask yourself:
Does the effort equal the reward?
Nobody is interested in doing the same thing over and over again for a single sex scene.
But grind can be usefull.
Like seeing how you slowly corrupt someone.
Rather then earning a sex scene you reward is increasing her submissiveness.
That makes grind more acceptable as you are working your way into making her your slave.
Same with dating sims or rpg in general.
The players need to have a progress that he can work towards without it taking forever to get there.
Meaningfull change's.
For example:
At first you girl hate's you.
Then you hypnotize her into liking you.
Next time you meet she looks at you but doesnt say anything.
So you hypotize her again and the next time you meet she tries to have polite conversation with you.
Etc.
Taking months to corrupt a girl might be realistic but it isnt fun.
Speeding the progress up a little will be considered acceptable breaks from reality.
Extra:
Lately i have been in the mood for a game in which you are a landlord exploiting your costumers(how do you call people who rent a house from a land lord anyway?)
Unfortantly all i could find a simple small games where you use spycams, drugs and blackmail to get laid.
Fun but i was hoping for more.
Like a game where you start with a crappy apparement complex in the bad part of town using the intercom to influence the costumers via subliminals to be more agreeable(stuff like have the whore themselves out so they can pay rent)
With the end goal being to upgrade your apparement complext into prime real estate for the rich and powerful.
Then corrupt said rich and powerful into your willing and eager slave's.
With stuff like renovating the building to have "security" camara's everywhere.
Getting your lawers to legalize spying or using subliminals to convince a rich guy that you fucking his wife and daughters is the most normal thing in the world.
Power and control.
Very few games get it right.
And fewer still have content that last for more then a few hours.
A few good games:
Free cities.
Stationmaster:
Lab rats 1.
Lab rats 2.
Superpowered.
Strive.
Take over.
Imperial gatekeeper.
Soldgirl.
All of these game one thing in common:
They give you a feeling of control.
Rather then just sluttification.
