The fact you think a person's time on this site is in anyways indicative of their experience and knowledge that isn't related to this site gives me serious doubts you could ever create any sort of story or game worth anyone's time.
So a community that is built around pirating software / games has more insight into game development than the actual industry researchers of the adult industry developers who's livelihoods and fortunes balance on it.
What I was trying to point out there are more accurate sources than trying to pull this type of information from a community that is heavily biased in various ways and not exactly representative of the general community of people who play adult games.
Take for example there are lot more people who like futa and ntr in this community vs the adult game players in general. That's just an example.
Lets look at your solution:
You are going to ask a question on a site that the populace of it isn't exactly representative of the adult game player community in general. Of that populace only a fraction will answer this post and so the data is even more skewed. And that's the shit you want to use to plan with.
Hint: When I said stupid I was being nice.
A person with some intelligence might have asked for sources of the information and if there was any methods currently in process that are effectively live sources of the information on trends and so on. Even if you do figure out all the sources you are stuck looking at data from this point forward because you haven't looked at it for the last year or several years or more.
Lets say you find this one here:
You must be registered to see the links
You haven't followed these games over the last couple years and paid attention to the comments they made over that time to see what their development process was.
That however isn't going to give you game trends like what the players want. This site here could in a way be a sign of game trends if you where able to look at say the downloads of the games per month and how many people play it. The question is are you looking at long term trend or short term, is the site indicative of the rest of the market in general? Then maybe you could look at more sites that sell adult games or even just have them up to play.
Maybe, you could find a clearing house for that data or a site that took the time to accumulate it and publish that information.
Honestly, given your response above I seriously doubt you could find this let alone complete a decent enough story to make it worth anyone's time.
Why are sources like this important to me well I'm a developer of a different nature. Imagine you want to create a product that various studios can use to stream line the process of making games and reduce if not cut out many of the issues. Well that's just one aspect of my business.
But don't worry I won't bother trying to point you in a better direction any more. Like the old saying says, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." I wasted way to much time responding to you. Yep, in fact I'm going to create a new rule for myself. If I see someone post something stupid I'm just going to assume from now on they are to stupid to learn and not bother replying to correct them. Fuck it let the idiots fail.
