It doesn't have to be a reboot exactly, just a game that had a great concept that failed to deliver.

I will go first, I think Teacher's Pets had a really great premise and humour, but the game got too tied up trying the dayparts thing (lots of grinding) and then caved to Patreon rules in the worst way.

As for a sequel, I would love to see another classic Akabur trainer game, those used to be my favorites.

Frank's Adventure. It's a classic and the basic premise could work very well with a modern remake.

Remake all his games, but just shift the MC over to some faceless shadow rather than uniting them all with that brown genie knockoff.

There was this one series of Japanese games that did the same kind of thing, having the main guy be the same dude despite being totally different games. There's just something obnoxious about seeing this magical Quantum Leap asshole showing up over and over again.

Actually, come to think of it I think I just hate that eyes-covered-lower-face-exposed look, because the Japanese dude had that thing going on, too. And that thing where a character's bangs hide half of their face--no, don't do that, that's stupid.

I forget where I was going with that.

He finished the turtles game, he's working on Star Channel 34 now. Can't say I really like that one though.

There was a 0.1 quite a while back called Lewis Mint's Summer of Love. The beginning of the game had a great animated opening montage that hooked me right in. It had a unique visual style that left the cast looking like goblins, but I liked it anyway. Everyone was upbeat and happy, and it was one of those rare incest games where the father was still alive and seemed to be a good dude.

It made about forty seven cents in pledges on Patreon.

One of the devs popped by the thread months later and said they hadn't totally thrown in the towel and would still love to make the game. Naturally, that's the last anyone heard of them.

Fucking tragic.

Good question. I'm sure there are lots that I'm forgetting since its hard for me to answer. TP would be nice to see again (liked the daughter's model) and there was a nice start with a few chapters from a vn called chasing crowns that seemed promising. Interesting premise with a seeming reality tv show going on, but something somehow darker in the vein of government conspiracy secret lab or something behind it.

I can't remember the name of the game, which is incredibly frustrating, but it involved a family and a serial killer. The wife harbored a secret desire to be dominated and disciplined (and given how hot her solo scene while she fantasized about it was, the dev definitely knew what s/he was doing), and the last release ended with a murder in the subway station. That "abandoned" tag was one of the saddest I've seen.

  • Futanari on Female
  • Focus on impregnation
  • Fully voiced (english, and not half bad)
  • Art is quite good
  • Actually a game with gameplay, and not juts hold ctrl to see porn
  • Died mere weeks after I discovered it
Its everything I could have ever hoped and wanted in a game. At the very least the dev was up front about just ending the development rather than ghosting and having me check back every few weeks in the futile hope progress was made.

  • Futanari on Female
  • Focus on Impregnation (seeing a theme here?)
  • Actually a game (Hanafuda)
  • Art was doable
  • Dev raised a few thousand through that pornkickstarter website that also died, before falling off the face of the earth as well.

Not really a reboot or sequel, but I would like Lust Man Standing to resume development. It had pretty girls that left lot of promise undelivered and an interesting take on the zombie apocalypse setting.

my favorite girls in daz + zombie + harem = 10:love:

Being the hyper critical asshole that I am, I would remake a lot of games I've played in some way (even ones currently in development). I second (3rd/4th/whatever) the Humbling Experience. The premise was stupid, the dialogue was not great, but it did tick a lot of corruption trope boxes. It's sort of the porn game equivalent of a popcorn movie. Turn off your brain and enjoy the ride. I agree that Teacher's Pet could have used some more development too. Then there are games like My Cute Cousin or whatever the fuck it was called. I could salvage 80-90% of the renders from that and rewrite it to be less nonsense with more intelligent characters. It has a major creep factor I don't like. I would redo so many grindy games to strip out most of the grind elements or make them more enjoyable. They would be shorter for sure, but losing dead weight is always good. For example, off the top of my head, High-Rise Climb. It has you doing the same conversations and molestations over and over to tick up values waiting to hit the next milestone.

Man if I had a nickel for every RPGM game that got abandoned.

Two that stand out are Despair Labyrinth and Adventures of Garnet, though it looks like the assets of AoG were incorporated into Cursed Armor.

Speaking of which... Cursed Armor was okay, and I'm looking forward to the sequel, but I would've liked to see better hashed out endings. Black screens with text are a total let down.
