And I am answering inline with the question - if the player has 0 interested in male attractiveness as they are there for pixel T&A, adding anything that focuses on how 'hot' the (male) MC is is getting in the way at best, getting a tad homoerotic/female perspective at worse (or best if thats your jam).

The conventionally hot guy is riddled throughout female erotic fiction for a reason
Zero is a bit extreme, isn't it? Just look at the topic from the other day about small dicks in these games. At the very least guys like to have large dicks that they find to be aesthetically pleasing in the picture. Is it really so much of a stretch to make the rest of him attractive, too? Wouldn't that help with the fantasy rather than get in the way?

How do you make an interesting game with a 'convincingly attractive' MC interesting 'hey baby can I have your number'. That just devolves into a fantasized version of what 'attractive' guys get up too, which is starting to get into homoerotic land or at the very least a power-fantasy on par with a magic wand. Just one is a fun game mechanic, the other is 'look at my face and abs'.
The loser fantasies are definitely power fantasies too. They usually go so far as to -literally- wave a magic wand and give the loser some power that lets him enjoy the results of being attractive without all the work that goes into it. "Skipping to the T&A", as you said. What's really so different about it being more grounded and working based on attractiveness? You could still speed the whole thing up and get straight to the sex (or pace it out and use it as a reward for the gameplay loop as it often happens).

It seems like a very specific issue that's being treated with a loser MC who isn't at all attractive on his own merits.

I don't find dicks aesthetically pleasing? Ideally games have an opacity meter etc that is ideal for me. I wont cry if there isn't but if there is you bet i am using it to hide the MC & the dick (or change it from fleshcolored to solid blue or whatever option there is). I like looking at the T&A and fun parts, some giant balls wobbling about do nothing for me other than get in the way of the camera.

Genie in the akabur games would be considered a loser - hes stuck there trying to fix mistakes and generally being an idiot, but it adds a fun aspect and interesting evolution.

Same with 4 elements trainer, the spirit possessing the avatars is an absolute moron. Again this lets humour and all kinds of fun shenanigans into the game.

he helps solve mysteries, gives swimming lessons, takes a job for a neighbor (that turns out to contribute to the mystery solving part), helps out several women (heh, heh).

One of the "choices" in the game is how the MC treats his cousin. The cousin is a nerd/gamer who's a bit of an introvert. The MC can smack the shit out of him and fuck his mom (MC's aunt) in front of him, or be nice to him and share one of MCs girls with him.
Is he conventionally attractive? Subjective.
So in this example an average Joe turns up, solves some mysteries, does a few tasks, isnt comment worthy attractive (or the game would make a case of it) but ends up winning, and depending on your choices you would consider a loser (anti NTR would hate sharing, others the beating the sht outta you cousin). Thats why I said the 2 choices were restrictive, as 'blank slate' should have been on there as well.

If forced to pick between 2 though I think of it this way:
-starting with a loser lets a game build the character up.
-If the character is already built then all the game can do is direct them around or detract from them.

i.e. A loser on the up & up might steal some cash etc to do something, something later in the game they look back on and think that was pathetic. Whereas Chad McChad being forced to resort to theft detracts from & diminishes their character.

I like games where there's more game - quests, adventures, item gathering & an added bonus of taking the hot shopkeepers clothes off.
then you should be playing non porn video games, i play adult visual novels because i cant stand the gameplay of "regular" video games (repetitive combat and the like)

I play adult visual novels because I am tired of sexual innuendos, teasing, romance which leads to nothing more than a black screen with moans and a kiss

What, no? There are tons of awesome games like witch trainer, four element trainer etc. generally they are drawn art (not 3d) and often have a fantasy element, but (outside of the odd flash player clicker game) the first real game I ever played was princess trainer so I have a particular favorite style of game .

You say that, but alot of games have that slider/option present so I am far from the only one. I mean I didn't download the game to look at dongs :)

~ Guess it just boils down to the individual and their respective playstyles.

A lot of us (can't speak for everyone) choose to play AVNs to live vicariously through the eyes of another MC just to experience a simulated taboo environment where one can live out their fantasies that extend beyond the mundanity of their IRL lives.

So, all that is to say is that it depends on your vantage point and what type of scenarios you want your MC to be exposed to.

If you're into a fat/loser/ugly bastard MC who ends up being the star of his show (Netori) style and steals all the hot women away from a secondary character (e.g., let's say the MC's bully who is tall/athletic/good-looking). AKA the undergo scenario.

Or, if you want to play the male equivalent of a Mary Sue type character, that uses his good looks and irresistable bad boy charm to fuck with all the women in his harem, that would be akin to that of a sexually indomitable scenario.

Ultimately, it depends on your play style preferences and how you want to envision yourself as you are playing through the eyes of the MC in-game.

Different strokes for different folks after all :sneaky: :coffee:

I don't think I'd call him a not comment worthy, the women in the game all react to him as if he were Brad Pitt. I just think Daz doesn't do dudes justice.

Sure, but the thread is to find out what playstyle they prefer...

Wouldn't the game then just be easy mode... like 'brad pitt' mode sounds like a cheat code for a seduction game.

Edit: that would be a fun difficulty slider for a game, ranging from loser, average, stud, brad bitt.

To put it another way - I dont know about you but I was cheering for Quasimodo to win instead of the handsome prince

I prefer the play-style that makes a great movie, the scrappy underdog using everything available to defy the odds.

Which protagonist is more attractive to you? The MC who protects women with scars all over him or the MC who buys women with his parents' money?
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
neither really, but give me the second guy just dont make him a trust fund baby and problem solved
The first one would be a pain (whiteknight). The second one depends on if he is cringe or not. Most games (like the used CG above) would probably present him as cringe, but if he's not I'd enjoy that for an evil MC.
Most enjoyable for me is an authorative benevolent patriarch.

Did you make the CGs yourself?
