I prefer female so I can get a bit of immersion but it also depends on the game.

Games like Bad Memories where it's story based or some RPG's but not those shitty rape ones, not into that.

I don't mind playing male MC but straight sex isn't as appealing to me so the only time I play a male MC if I really like the story.

There are a couple of games with male protagonists I enjoy (Holiday Island, Honey Select etc.) but I frequently catch myself immersing in the female character rather than male. Somehow my mind goes around the PC and figures out the game is about possessing various NPCs to fuck the one lucky dude

People can thorw shitty hissy fits over male protagonists saying "they are all horndogs wanting to fuck everything" ... umm NEWFLASH !! Its a fucking porn game !!! I am playing the game to see the MC have his way with hot women !! It can have a great story too, but it has to have sex !!

Female protag games usually fall into only one category... the woman is a total imbecile that gets fucked by everyone in town... usually without choices...

And before anyone says anything, its not the same thing as the male protag wanting to fuck every girl !! The key difference is the male chooses the girls he wants to fuck, and 97% of the time the women are total bombshells with decent to good personalities (or at least appealing personalities). The female doesnt choose the males she can fuck with... they either rape, blackmail, or trick her into sex (drugs, mind control), and they are always fucking disgusting to look at !! Cause heaven forbid devs put as much effort into making attractive male LI for the female to WANT to bang... when its easier to have Fat Slob, Old Creep, and Black Darrius all boxed up and ready to fuck your fem protag am i rite ?

The best female protagonists games I have seen so far are by Tearstar... both the in development "Captain Lance" and the sadly abandoned "Decisions Made" were amazing, a female protagonist game doen right !

I'm sure others could do it right if they wanted to... MrKnobb who posted above could just as easily made a "Retrieving the Past" starring Evaline rather than Jensen, it probably treat her with as much respect, have her banging a bunch of studs while saving the world.

I like fem. protag games but i can count on one hand the amount of games that let you play as normal female character that enjoys some naughty stuff here and there, doing stuff on her own terms and not the 1IQ toaster that gets dragged into really stupid situations and not believeable blackmail scenarios.

When I do play straight games, I prefer male protagonist. There is no female protagonist straight game I ever found worth playing, though with the right setting and story (present day setting is an absolute no-go in that case) it may be possible. If such a game existed, I'd play it for the story and setting rather than for the sexual content, however.

I mean, I say male but that's really because I am a guy and, thus, put myself into their shoes. Granted, I think that's hard to do without making the male MC a total douchebag, but still. It's easier for me to project myself into a situation like that rather than a female, IMO.

In games where the player BECOMES the MC, I prefer FEMALE love interests. So if the MC is female then lesbian, if male then straight. If I can do this then I don't care about the MC's gender. Writing is more important, but not for the MC. The MC must be flexible enough to fit to the players becoming him/her.

In games where the player just controls, but not becomes, the protagonist, I don't care at all, since it's just a porn clicker like Chloe18. And there it doesn't matter since you never become Chloe, you just control her. No real immersion into the MC.

I will always have a soft spot for female protagonist games. But most of the fem-pro games starts with the theme of blackmail and corruption which is becoming stale at this point. I hope in the future fem-pro games are centered around a mc who is actively looking for a naughty adventure.
