Why are more and more games using MC Pov

If you stick to first person POV it is one less person to render. Also, it can add to immersion. That being said sometimes it is good to shift between 1st or 3rd depending on the scene.

POV in general is it's own fetish, that's why it is a tag both here and in porn.

Personally if I had to pick only one I'd say third person angles are less limited and overall better. But pov scenes can also work, especially for first person games like House Party where it makes sense to stick with that angle.

I always prefer first person in games, no matter which game or genre. For me, seing the player character is more of a distraction than anything else.

Pov is good when it's a male MC, but even though sex scenes should be 3rd person (preferably by not showing the MC's face).
On the other hand, pov is a kind of no-no with female MC.

I think it's really interesting how many people say first-person is more immersive for them, since I find it consistently breaks my own immersion. But worse than first-person for me is third-person but the dev goes out of their way to avoid showing the MC's face.

I prefer point of view.
It is more immersive.
Note that i said point of view not first person.
Meaning if i look down i see my own body.
See my reflection in the mirror, etc.

Immersion is great.
