Why are there still less games with a lesbian protagonist?

I've made a post a few years ago about seeing more lesbian games. But now I'm puzzled as to why it still makes up about like an eighth of overall adult games on the internet, while the majority is still one half games with a chad protagonist, and the other half are games with a female protagonist being molested and fucked by every men she comes across, becoming corrupted into a cock-obsessed slut, you get the idea, or games where she is fucked by everyone and everything (looking at you, Japanese hentai games).

This ties into the site’s tagging system, or supposed to be a tagging system. When you use tags like ‘gay’ or ‘lesbian’, turns out the tags are too broad. Like, if you use ‘female protagonist’ and ‘lesbian’ tags together, it will show half of the aforementioned games I mentioned. Even if that game is tagged ‘lesbian’, nine times out of ten, it will have situations where the main character has to fuck a dick with no choice from the player. Why isn’t there a ‘female only’ tag or something instead of relying on searches?

Whenever I see a game in first-person and the game's description uses words like "you" to describe the main character, I was under the assumption that the player character's gender is ambiguous and their gender is up to the player to choose for them. Some of Chaotic's games on vdategames.com understood this. Why do you think I've requested for games like Date Ariane, Dreams of Desire, and the Quickies series to include an option to play as female?

I even made posts for lesbian parody games based on series I wanted to see, yet no one seems to be interested in making them.

It’s sad because Lesbian is my favorite porn genre alongside Solo Female Masturbation. I don't understand why this sort of genre remains a minority in adult gaming when lesbian porn in general is still quite popular, at least to my knowledge. You can same thing about trans protagonist games, and gay protagonist games. I don’t understand why they remain the minority when it comes to adult games.

Lesbians/gays/trans are minorities in real life, yet you find it odd that they are minorities in adult games. :WaitWhat: :WaitWhat:
There is nothing strange here.
You know what I meant. I'm saying as to why there are less people who care about this sort of genre.

No, I dont know. You're asking why hetero people rather play hetero games than not. And it's because they are hetero. How you find this odd, I don't know. Just because you like to play something else doesn't make it less of a minority opinion.

The market does what it wants. Why should people should make more lesbian games just because that's what you want?

Tags can't be very detailed because it's a lot of work. Until we have a system that allows for user-defined tags or a tag voting system, this is just the way it's going to be.

I did a quick check on Date Ariane and it's clearly tagged "male protagonist." Making an assumption about "you" in a game description allowing any gender is your own fault for making an assumption. Also, making a request is only making a request, it doesn't have to be fulfilled if the dev doesn't want to.
I even made posts for lesbian parody games based on series I wanted to see, yet no one seems to be interested in making them.
You said it yourself, no one seems to be interested in making them. This goes back to you can't expect people to do what you want just because you want it.

GRasputin already answered this. You can always try making your own games, there's tons of tutorials out there and this site has a developer subforum to help you when you get stuck. If not though, do your best to support the devs who do make what you like.

I make the game I want to play. Why don't you?

If you really can't understand it, try this approach:

This is a place where approx 98% of the people are hetero dudes and hetero dudes mostly want to play games about hetero dudes fucking hetero dudettes.

Best case scenario, hetero dudes wants to fuck bisexual dudettes but only if that means involving the hetero dude's dick in a threesome.

Dude, we are a minority. And you must consider that 98% of the games here are indie games, developed by small teams or directly one person. Not every game can be like Hornstown, which literally caters to every gender/sexuality that exists.

Fair enough. The gay and lesbian tags are often misused on most of the games uploaded here. But I think it has to do with the weight of the content on the game than the tags themselves. One scene with a guy you are sissifying/ a scene with a guy while you're sissified? bam, gay tag. One guy with two girls kissing but then there is not even a sex scene? there, lesbian tag. There are people that even confuse the lesbian/gay tags, and put a game with lesbian content as gay. And don't get me started on the scenes with trans or futa character or we won't end. And the poor bi people is the most ignored people on the spectrum too.

A "female only" or "male only" tags were discussed in the past and rejected, just because the existance of lesbian/gay tags. Someday they'll realize that is not the same having one gay scene than a full gay/bisex/lesbian route on a game.

I even made posts for lesbian parody games based on series I wanted to see, yet no one seems to be interested in making them.
You can't put a gun in the head of someone and make them do a game you'd like. Have you even considered that in order to make a worthy gay/lesbian game you would need at least a writer who is gay/lesbian, or at least know how to write and design that specific set of scenes?

The "do your game" suggestion may sound harsh, but it's actually good. If you have no experience on 3D, drawing or programming but still know how to put two sentences together and have some lesbian gifs, why don't you try your hand making a twine text game?

I'm actually doing my very own gay game. If I can do it, you can be damn sure everyone can.

And this is the major problem with the alphabet community expecting straight people to cater to their wishes and demands.

If you want more gay content, then make it yourself.

People make stuff based on their own preferences.
