I'm very much a "muh immersion" type of guy, and if the women/men in a game aren't realistically depicted or if the mean for body proportions etc is way off reality's, said immersion goes straight out the window for me. Thus the game loses its appeal.

That being said I don't like stuff like DAZ games to begin with, so this is rarely an issue for me as I tend to play text based games which generally are a lot more varied in this regard.

Relevant to nothing, I remember a common... I don't think it was always a complaint so much as an observation, but a common thing that was said about Scale Garden's games. The heroine in each game was a different person, and in each game the heroine's breasts got a bit larger. If I remember right, they were big-average in the earliest game, too. There were four or five games, I think, in the series, although the last few were the most popular since they were the most involved. The games otherwise looked fairly similar to one another due to the consistent and somewhat recognizable art style, so I think that this really stood out to people. This could well have just been a case of the author enjoying large breasts and letting them creep a bit with each installment.

What always bugs me is when a heroine's breasts are drawn noticeably larger just for the length of a titfuck scene. I mean, breast expansion when it's an intentional fetish thing is fine, and I guess it could well be due to her squishing them together or the change in perspective or her pose or something. Sometimes it feels like it just happens because, hey, the breasts are really important in this scene so let's emphasize them a bit. I'm not normally an immersion fiend in my games, but that always gets my goat when I notice it.

Does that figure generalize to the rest of the world, though? What's the average bra size in China, Finland, or South Africa? How about Japan, which has a significant population of adult video game developers and presumably players? Should the average bra size in the UK necessarily inform every person in the world's idea of the reality of breast sizes? I don't know if it's reasonable to think that this figure is representative of the actual average breast experienced by the posters in this thread. Just a note.

Also, I've been sorta implicitly assuming that we're talking about disproportionately large breasts, or large breasts when a typical person of a given body figure wouldn't be expected have them. The average large-breasted person in reality is probably overweight, and overweight in the sense of excess body fat. That is after all where large breasts typically come from. But excess body fat tends to distribute in places where porn game heroines don't have fat. Not to say that you don't see realistically pudgy large-breasted women in porn games, or that no person finds fat attractive, but I think it's safe to say that porn is going to lean towards unrealistically idealized human bodies. It's certainly true that you will find many more large-breasted women with improbably athletic, supermodel, or childlike builds in porn than you will in real life. I think that's enough of a long tail to power the "too-big breasts are too common in porn" meme.

(I do sorta realize as I'm typing this that the second paragraph up there makes assumptions about body habitus that I can't really back up. I still feel like posting, though, so to hell with it.)
