Why do you think QSP games are getting so little Patreon support?

Hello! I played some games on QSP engine, and I found them quite good. And I visited their Patreon pages, and I noticed that QSP creators are getting very low support from the players. Why do you think is it so?

Ever since Google flagged QuestSoftPlayer as malicious, and blocked it... things have gone down hill rapidly.

Wow. Blocked how? As far as I understand, Google can just remove a site from a search results. But games are getting support from a forums, not search.

From what I've seen QSP is mostly used by tfgamessite titles made by russians with stolen assets. They usually don't make games as a career, it's usually a hobby type thing with patches taking half a year and monetizing isn't as empathized as games with mainstream engine and unique art that push updates monthly to please patrons.

So you think that if some dev would create QSP game with monthly updates and with his own arts, it could work?

It doesn't have user friendly UI.
Someone wanting to make money would make the game in renpy or html instead so people wont skip the game simply from seeing the engine tag.
The only reason games are made for it is because of the historical popularity among Russians and documentation for their language.

That's interesting, thanks

There is another reason. Most QSP games are sandbox types games. Players are lazy and don't want to have to put much effort into their porn games. Ren'Py visual novels hand porn to players with almost no effort required. If you can click the button on the mouse you can play the game and get your porn. There is a small niche for games that require a lot of player involvement and decision making. The new generation of players are lazy. Most of the teens and young adults want jobs but don't want to work once they get there. I see it all the time and it is sad.

Hear hear! Back in my day we had to punch a grizzly in the nose before porn would let us jerk off to it! Young people these days are too soft and entitled!
