Why does it seem like so many devs are averse to impregnation? (Thread is NOT about implementing pregnancy in games)

I get asked about prego content regularly. I personally don't find it appealing and my artist doesn't like drawing that stuff.

Where the f did all the incest interest come from, seemed like overnight every normal porno out there on sites suddenly had 'brother and sister' stuck in the title, or is it just that the incest enthusiasts are a tight knit community, like one big family.

I love it as an outcome. Depending on the game it will suit it during the game as well. I would just defer to whether it fits the plot of the game of course. I think its just the plot/games people will tend to make simply aren't going to have it as the main point of the game itself, meaning it'd be for a post-game or whatever. But some devs rather than a nice post-game wrapup with good/bad ends that might involve it, will be more keen on working on their next game than spending a lot of time on an update that doesn't move the needle for them.
In the end I think more of us who like such content should consider spending a little of our free time learning to make the kinds of things we like for FUN.
This is not me taking a shot at anyone to be clear. I think though it'd be great if more people gave it a try. I've been slowly learning VaM and kicking tires on DAZ to look at possibly making something myself at some point. If more did so as well we might have a few more people making good fun games around here. All the best to you all.

I agree that a lot of the time games cut short the moment. Like interrumpting the post-nut relaxation trying to clarify things or move fast to the next plot or sexual point. Few games linger in the after sex, even in the inmediate creampie. Probably who writes the scenes tends to concentrate in the sex itself as erotic, instead of what surrounds it.
And because impregnation is a "lingering effect" so to speak, of the act itself, it doesnt tend to get attention. Maybe its also a thing where some devs know that if they imply impregnation, they'll be demanded full pregnancy more eagerly.
(A dev could, lets say, show impregnation, and let the player assume nothing came of it. But dont know how effective that would be)

Also I have noticed the impregnation is more common in 2d (at least with full xray), so I wonder if the medium (2d or 3d) has something to do with the choice to include it or not.

I'd suggest it's mainly because of the money. I know it's been discussed...but still. Most games
are harem based and/or have tons of women. The money and resources would be insane for that
not to mention you'd be taking yout women basically out of the game for awhile.
Having so many women in these games means before/during/after artwork for all of them unless
you only allow a couple to get pregnant which would be ignorant.
Besides there's always the birth defects since incest is a huge part of these games.
I like the pregnancy content, and hate the 'pulling out', but I also hate kids so there's that....

This is accurate.
Tried it twice myself and the first time as soon as the tip poked in I was done and it was over and it hurt. Second time was literally years later with a boat of lube and I actually endured until he got off, and I ended up bleeding still and it was not fun or erotic for me at any point.
