Why is it so hard to find good NTR games now?

Ayo, 100% feel you on this. It’s like every other NTR game now is just AI-generated CG slapped together with a few phone screens and low-effort writing. It’s all flash, no substance. Like, where’s the actual story? Where’s the emotional wreckage we used to get from the OGs? Feels like devs just cranked out a bunch of lazy AI art for a quick buck, no soul behind it. You ain't alone on this one. Most of us are kinda side-eyeing the whole "AI CG NTR phone slop" era. Ain’t hitting the same.
100% agreed. Though, when I tried the Japanese NTR games, I really couldn't get into them that much (at all really). But props for effort! However, these AI generated NTR games are even worse, I don't feel like they have a soul in them? Not to mention, the impact of the betrayal (Cheating/I love Netori and Netorare because of a certain game on here), is non-existent since the stories all include the same basic dialogue without personality/voice.

As you said, all flash, no substance. Even if there's a coherence to the story, it's still inhumanely boring.

But I feel this is my fault too, as when I play these types of games, I expect the NTR to happen (And click the choices that lead to it). So that does have an impact.

(To be fair, the only game I really enjoyed and caused me to love NTR is Power Vacuum, nothing else comes even close. Albeit, Whoremonger does approach it in the writing.)

(But that's also the reason I'm working on my project/game as well. )

To anyone looking for hand-drawn games, please give my game a try.
I could really use the support. My scenes are all hand-drawn and fully voiced.

It's about as authentic as you can get.

I've been checking out the updates for the Netorase Phone game and it started off pretty enjoyable but the last several updates make it seem more like a big party of mutual friends humping and carrying on with their lives, just like Friends. I think something in the netorase side got lost when it turned into random wild swinging with the main character getting all kinds of love too from everyone.

I think the AI quality in that is good but I'm getting the feeling the dev may not want the story to end anymore so it can be a forever Patreon money maker, and that feels like it changed how it went.

They made too much NTR games and exhausted the basic formula, now we have some twists but when someone comes up with a new twist there is gonna be a wave of people trying to capitalize of the trend using AI to make a related game on a low budget and in a rushed pace before the trend dies.

Another factor is that the most of the NTR games still comes from japan but they not get translated until a fan translator put his hands at work leaving without translate a huge amount of NTR games, for example I am playing Uwaki Tsuma a very old game from 2007 untranslated but have the twist that the NTR is started by the mc's wife boss's wife that blackmails the mc in exchange from influencing her husband to don't fire mc wife forcing him to cheat on his wife with her and other women in the neighborhood, also another funny twist is tha the mc is the housewife and his wife is the breadwinner of the relationship.

If you want to increase the NTR games that you want to explore if more easy if you understand japanese but still they also tend to repeat tropes to a very large extend.

i totally agree with everything you said! i think ntr devs should stop relying on all those blackpilled ntr tropes and try something more unique. also, we should support good indie ntr devs so we can get better ntr games in the future. have you checked out nox syndicate? it’s pretty gr8 so far and has a lot of potential to be one of the best ntr games to come out in recent years

no, I don't check games in progress if the developer finish it I gonna check it. I already had bad experiences playing games in progress that the developers end abandon them.

makes sense, then you should wait for a year (or less) since it'll probably be completed by then. i do the same, but when i find a good ongoing ntr game, i just can't wait for it to get completed xP
also, you should bookmark it if you forget it by any chance: https://f95zone.to/threads/falling-undercover-nox-syndicate-v0-02-0-azienda.252031/
