Why Pron Games and not just Pron?

Just looking for input on what makes Adult Games so attractive to you.

If you're just looking for P0rn and something to fap to, you can easily find it elsewhere. What makes you choose an AVN (for example) over just plain old Pronhub? I have my own ideas and preferences, but would really like to know yours.

(Also, since I'm considering working on my own AVN to post here, what do you for most in an AVN? Story? Hard core scenes? Lesbians? Incest? What's your favorite tag(s)?)

Porn is boring.

I've watched porn for years. Also being a lesbo seriously limits the type of porn I can get off to and there is only so many times I can watch someone go to a job intierview and get pounded with a strapon all good porn CEO's seem to have in their desk before I need plot that doesn't make daytime TV look entertaining.

Porn bores me. It has no real context, no development or anything. It works now and then for the quick whip, but not much beyond that. Adult games on the other hand:

Granted, adult games come in varying quality, and the devs of adult games are not always the most gifted writers out there. Yet the mere fact that they have some of the above is enough to make it infinitely more interesting than porn.

build-up, anticipation, fear of fucking up your choices, the joy of finding hidden things, establishing power relations better for a more rewarding reversal. story is nice too, but really these are the things I want from the story. porn can't really offer any of these because it's instant gratification.

you kinda can establish some power relations by starting the (porn) scene telling 'here's a horny guy and here's a frigid nun', but as 60 seconds later the nun screams FUCK ME with a cock in her asshole it really destroys the idea of her being out of your reach. where as in game you can keep the nun cold and unreachable for weeks, and when you finally find a way to smuggle your dick in her ass it actually feels like you succeeded in the impossible. the sex scene can be identical but if you're not first sold the emotional truth that she's not available, corrupting her won't have any impact.

The closest thing I can equate to the majority of adult games and visual novels would be a pornographic TV show or mini-series. Having a plot and relationships that extend for multiple hours of view time for IRL porn is extremely hard to pull off. The scheduling requirements for the actors and actresses would be completely different from regular porn. Plus, the majority of them can't actually act. Someone making an adult game can spend 30 minutes on getting an expression right, there is no time for reshoots in the porn industry (based on the number of boom mics and cameras appearing in frame I've seen).

Adult gaming is about the only way to experience these extended plots that also allow for some character development. Not to mention their interactive features such as the ability to include or exclude certain fetishes, renaming characters and relationships, choosing alternate story paths, etc. Plus, as a dev who made an AVN with fantasy kinks like futanari, no porn studio is going to spend the money for the vfx to pull that off IRL. Only way to see it is to find the little of what's out there or make it yourself.

As for tags, I'll go with pregnancy, realistic incest, and harem as my top 3. Oh and by realistic incest I mean two people who actually look related, not the real porn version where they often find the most dissimilar actors and actresses and do a half-assed job of fitting incest into a scene clearly not intended to be based on that.

There is an additional point that matters to me: 3d renders and 2d drawings don't result in any physical harm to a person.

• It's impossible for there to be a sex-trafficked person involved.
• No risk of STD, pregnancy, emotional damage, etc.
• No worries about consent, coercion, fair pay, etc.
• Incest, bestiality, rape, etc. aren't actually happening. (Despite what payment processors think)
• TBH, I'd rather a pedo have a hard drive full of fictional lolis than a single pic of a real child.

Let's face it, the porn industry is extremely brutal towards actresses that aren't big names. The famous meme of Piper Perri surrounded by 5 black guys is funny at first glance. But did you notice she has braces? These actresses usually come from terrible backgrounds and are starring in porn to pay for stuff like dental work, drugs, debt, etc.

Also, an uncomfortable amount of them appear to be high, drunk, or mentally not there during sex scenes. The burnout rate is huge and I'll bet a lot of the popular pornstars people are familiar with no longer do it anymore. They just made so many per year, that it seems like they were around for a long time. As a result of all this, real porn is not as sexy to me as it used to be, it's become so sad and depressing.

Interaction, investment, exploration, control, objective, goals, and many other things you can simulate using a game media that you can't in videos, comics, or pictures.

Even though visual novels are labeled as games they are mostly comics unless you have some form of exploration within in the story to progress. Interactions outside of next button like multiple choices that affect variables rather than branching stories also makes it more of a game. Once you start to simulate something with logic and rules even slightly it becomes an entire different experience.

Interactivity helps get me into the story and makes the porn more enjoyable. And I like having more control of the pace of things. With actual porn things can drag on or go by too quickly. Lastly, creampies. Porn almost always ends with a money shot that I find anticlimactic. Porn games are a lot more willing to give the option of filling the girl up and risking pregnancy.

For me, the advantage of porn game over other genres is that in a game you (the player) make the decisions, hence the payoff is more rewarding. You can read or watch a dude peeking on his landlady in the shower in a story or a vid but in a porn game, when you make the decision to do so, you feel better connection with the reward (wet boobs!).

Also, grinding, done right, is also an amazing effort and (erotic) reward mechanism. You want to shag this hot lady but you need to buy her gold necklace which costs $1000. You don't have it but you can earn the money if you grind. As you approach your goal your excitement grows and once you have the full amount there's a sense of achievement, of erotic conquest, that can not be achieved in any other pornographic media IMO.

A proper corruption story nigh impossible in porn. Something like Noxian Nights or Knightess Aura is too long of a story to cram even into a full-feature film and feature films are on their last legs in the age of OF and Mindgeek. Plus, most high prod value porn is aiming to have a breadth of pornstars, not to focus on a single MF, MMF or MFF relationship in depth. Basically, mainstream porn sucks, and not in the sexy way.

So for me it's surprisingly easier to find a good game, story, or comics than good porn.

I think there are many reasons for me, but I'll be as short and concise as possible.
I've always had an overactive imagination, I found a love for video games because they offered deep and compelling worlds that you couldn't find in other forms of media. That and I've had a fascination of sexual things and sexuality which doesn't always coordinate with arousal, lust or pleasure. Just find it fun and interesting.

Adult games offer both one and two, but oftentimes with far greater success. I could delve into the world with the gusto of games while absorbing adult related matters. It's easy to understand my fascination. Plus, games kind of suck now, and that hobby is too expensive for my broke ass.

Adult games offer a sense of freedom that only like one other medium has (adult literature). It is able to have themes or plots that other mediums simply aren't able to achieve due to a myriad of reasons. This freedom is compelling, and oftentimes while the stories themselves aren't very good, the situations or fantasies that come from those same stories can be great.

Lastly, I should point out that porn and adult games should not be compared. I can play a game for hours and not pop a single boner, yet still find the game enjoyable. Meanwhile, I use porn specifically because I already have a boner and want it gone. Thats the simple yet easiest way to explain the difference.
