Hentai Manga are the best, porn videos are ok. normally i only play Hentai games because i know they are good or they have a specific interest of mine such as Yandere if i just wanna jerk it because i'm horny manga or porn are better.
Imma be real with you i don't know what AVN means, but i like dating sims and Yandere content so add some of that

So basically, real porn fixes a need. Porn games gives me a hobby to enjoy. They have different roles, with some overlap obviously.
For that 5% of the fap that happens when I play a VN. 99% of those happen outside of the actual sex scenes. Because, just being honest here, 99% of sex scenes in these games are terrible. But the buildup to it can be really hot and interesting if it's done well. Building the anticipation and you start to fantasize about when it actually happens, and those fantasy's are better than the actual scene is most of the time. So good writing is the most important thing for an adult game to have.
In a way. IRL porn is all about the "graphics". Porn games are all about the story. Every so often, you'll run into something that has both. But that is rare, unfortunately.

I simply like the ability to be able to control what happens, when and to who and how. Being able to control the flow of the content in games is infinitely better than finding a great vid/comic and it doesn't go the way you want to scratch your itch. Sure, most games are limited in what they offer thus your control is also reduced, but getting to focus on that one thing you like is nice. In irl porn/(3d) animations the gig is over in a short time and that's it, but if you find a game that matches your (often niche) fetish and there's plenty of it with different characters, you will have tons more content (also story, since it's much more satisfying to see how things unfold compared to random porn actors who are playing a role). I especially like open world games such, let's say Violated Heroine, since there's tons of content and you can choose whatever happens to her. Not to mention the legal stuff; it's fantasy after all and not harming anyone irl. Oh and obviously, the ability to create a custom character in some games, be it your ideal person or self-insert is the best.
Tldr, being able to control a character to do what you want is much more fun than watching porn.
