Hey everyone i want to share my experience and see if anyone started like me
Anyways in December i was bored i have story in my mind but i wanted to do something to make some cash ( a cash grab game) so i started developing my first game with no passion or anything just for the sake of releasing it asap and getting some donations and at January i released a very bad first version of my game The land of arabasta it was kinda unplayable bad render and bad everything but i successfully reached 2.7k downloads on itch.io i dont know how so i started writing the second version but soon after finishing the writing i was lazy and i forgot about the game for a month then i returned but this time i was more passionate about the project i wanted it to look better and i wanted to build a cominity around it so i started modifying the game and making better renders and today i finally released the second version its not long maximum 20min of content and its not that great but at least i think i accomplished something and i feel the need to continue on developing this game no matter what and improve it and its old bad rendering i guess its the only way to make my vision of the arabasta world becomes real

Was having a wank and *POOF*! Suddenly I had a game. Which considering I coded it with one hand is an impressive feat.

I wanted to have my own version of Young Marcus, but with bear-bara types and lots of BDSM, so here I am with my ultra niche game. I discovered later that I enjoy developing it, especially coding features that other games has but I always have to re-invent the wheel.

I was always creating something. Music, photography, videos... When COVID started, I lost my job, and somehow I wanted to use the time while I was sitting at home, so I started trying to work with software like Blender or Daz Studio. Finally, my wife came up with the idea of trying to make a VN (she was a fan of these games before I even knew such a thing existed), so I gave it a try.

The first attempt to make a game was a pure disaster. I posted my idea and pictures on this forum and got nothing but hate and insults, mainly for my imperfect English. Considering that I didn't try to make a 100% porn game but gave it a story, quality music, and animations, I got a lot of opinions like "You don't even have to try to make that game; we'll never want to play it". I got offended, deleted the whole game, deleted my account on this site, and forgot about doing anything. :poop:

After a few weeks, I came back to it, started learning English, started studying how Daz Studio works to understand it better, came up with a new story, and started creating a new visual that was 10 levels better than what I was able to do before that. I don't know if I came back to it because I really enjoyed it or if I wanted to overcome the hatred I experienced. Maybe both... Anyway, I'm almost done with the first chapter of my game today, and I'm happy. Personally, I think that once you start creating, you can't stop so easily. It's an addiction to be immersed in all those things and create something. :KEK:

I started because what I wanted to see didn't really exist.

I continue because I enjoy the creative process, people seems to like my work, and it's an appreciated supplementary income.

Also, here. I gift thee some punctuation, free of charge. ...................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Edit: By the way, you really need to let your renders run a bit longer and then pass them through a denoiser.

Please, for the love of God, tell me you at least have a proof reader for your game.
