what about new update?
or news?
Are you guys bots?is game dead? hope not...
As far as I know, the answer to your question is: No.Does anyone know if slaves can be dressed and armed?
For Game - need to restart at zero again or can one rescue one's save files and place back into appdata\local with any success?Delete the WickedIsland folder in the Appdata\Local folder. Just starting a new game isn't going to cut it (I already tried).
For anyone that is trying out the new version (0.8.6.1) and are having problems with things not working or the game crashing, delete the WickedIsland folder in appdata.
The UI, some game mechanics and some other "things" got changed so just starting over is going to be the way to go. Unless, you know, you like shit randomly crashing on you.
This version does have it's own list of bugs and shit that don't work right, but scrapping the appdata folder will help some.
Animations are still mis-aligned, but it's better than it was.
The changes to armor really sucks, especially with steel armor. Entering the desert will inflict -1 stamina regen ... and then the armor kicks in and 'upgrades' it to -2 energy regen. Ouch. In snow areas, you character freezes for -40 armor and donning their 'cozy, warm' steel armor reduces it to ... cold for -20 armor. Standing inside your home instantly puts you into 'sweaty hot' mode so unless you strip off your armor, your stamina regen is crippled.
No idea what Royal/Legendary is like, I am still leveling up my character (without cheating) to be able to fight drakes and vampires for dark ore and dragon scales.
Getting pregnant is pretty nasty, you can no longer sit down to rest while pregnant. Trimester 3 is rather nasty, it is -60 stamina, -40?armor.
Combat feels a lot tougher. My level nothing n00b, in her trusty bronze armor, blundered into her first pack of wolves ... with a pair of level 30 'ringers' mixed in the bunch. She died.
My slut continues to die, even in steel armor now, since at level 32 she can encounter level 60-ish monsters. Minotaurs hit like a freight train at the moment and I am afraid to see what the vampires and drakes are going to be like. Trying to masturbate 'charm' a drake at level 30-ish was a pain in the ass with the new mechanics.
Breeding stations seem to work, but the animations are a little screwy. Sadly you cannot throw the MC into the breeding post for some baby making action.
NIGHTMARES!!!!! They actually give buttseks XP now, along with some vagoo experience.
Totally makes this entire update worthwhile!
I didn't try backing up save files and moving them to the new folder. There is one little trick I did do: Rename the WickedIsland folder. For Game - need to restart at zero again or can one rescue one's save files and place back into appdata\local with any success?
Run RUN to the water and they will not be able to go in after you. II start at Fisherman's hut area, just outside water ... rush in, move and selectively attack one or two then move to next or go to other side of dock on land and sit down before returning. So i tried searching but couldn't find an answer, it's now day and i got the message about the night creatures leaving, but they never leave, im stuck in my house because im still too low level to fight them, they're all over the place in the starting area
Try the wooded areas. Also, you can make branches from wood ( but that's for later, you gotta find branches first.)I also cant find a single branch in this game, you'd expect to find them on the ground but its nowhere.
Cant craft axe, cant repair tools, i think this game needs a revamp, kinda ridiculous
Charcoal in the large rock areas everywhere. Bears and werebears usually live there.I am not sure I am missing something but from searching, can make babies followers with research station but unless its named something else, not seeing it anywhere for an option.
Also any tips for charcoal spots, swore I passed some but now that needed it can't remember where it is.
Wildings ... yes. Can even pop a sprog, but no way to raise it.Quick question, can you have sex with humans too?
there is also a charcoal spawn near some tall rocks by the ruined village up on the hill near the starting area where some goats spawn, just be careful if you're a lower level because several werewolves spawn in the village as wellI am not sure I am missing something but from searching, can make babies followers with research station but unless its named something else, not seeing it anywhere for an option.

I have now tried using my save of a 8.6.0 new game that I had started fresh in 8.6.0 and set aside - it seems to work fine from an hour of undemanding just "testing if it crashes" going about. (oddly enough on my laptop this may be the most stable so far, even some tattoos that I had apparently been unsuccessful in character creation in 6.0 w reappear in 6.1)I didn't try backing up save files and moving them to the new folder. It preserves all files and settings, that way you can try copying over save games and not worry about mixing or deleting anything.
I had tried just launching the new version and starting a new game and it kinda worked, but there were things that were just buggy or caused the game to freeze.
I haven't tried using a save file from the older version, so you are on your own if you give it a try. Good luck though if you give it a shot.
1. Lucky you. Being one of those 'scumbag' pirates, I didn't have access to 8.6.0. It may not make a difference but it is always possible that there was some incremental update on that version that helped 'ease' the way to the current version.I have now tried using my save of a 8.6.0 new game that I had started fresh in 8.6.0 and set aside - it seems to work fine from an hour of undemanding just "testing if it crashes" going about. Have not tried an 8.5.9 yet but will try.
Not sure I like the removal of the Grit points for new challenge system as harder to judge visually.
Shall test the 8.6.0 bugs that I had noticed and stopped (breast deflation on some sex and/or masturbation, bed freezing up (no longer usable), build plan locking up)
ETA
1. so far for me my 8.5.9 to 8.6.0 to 8.6.1 save is working okay
2. masturbation for combat "minigame"... either I totally do not understand it or its not working (or both)
I believe it is level based. Each time I snag a monster that has that super fast mini game it ends up being really high level. My first run in with drakes they were all over level 100 and I hadn't even gotten to level 20 yet.No idea if the difficulty is just level based or not.
I was level 30 or so on my first encounter with a drake (75 or so) and it took me quite a few tries, with a lot of blind luck, to sex one of them 3 times for Isabel's quest.I believe it is level based. Also, I cannot figure out for the life of me why there is so much hate for stamina regen with this dev. Seems many players must feel the same with this hate. Most of the rest of the game is quite easy and just takes time, but stamina regen has always sorta pissed me off. I made a suggestion in the feedback channel on discord to change stamina regen from +1 per second to +1% per second to accommodate the eventual increase of stamina pool. But only one other person agreed. Now this update basically took a shit on stamina regen. I just don't get it...
I agree, but my argument is simply that when you start a new game you kinda have more stamina regen than when you start to progress. Changing regen from +1 to +1% would keep the regen the same when the pool gets larger and more stamina is being used with tougher enemies.Adding a ton of stamina regen would just make things worse, since your character would never have to consider resting or using a stamina potion.
Don't forget the stamina consumables. Their values have been halved. Also, you no longer regen HP when in combat. It will only restart when you move away far enough from the enemy. It almost feels like the Dev is changing things to try and slow down progression to the end game gear as much as possible. The harvesting nerfs. The stamina nerfs. The boosted combat strength of all enemies.
Totally agree. I got steel armor fairly quickly, but so many enemies were still such high levels their lucky shots nearly killed me. One of the first enemies I seen with the new build was a level 60 wasp. I remember how they used to hit before 8.5.9 so I said fuck that. With the current changes to enemy levels, even steel armor feels like cheap crap. It just forced me even further into avoiding everything I could and focus on chasing down the end game gear.
The stamina consumables have been at those halved values for a few updates before 0.8.6.1. I griped about it before, but mostly due to the fact that the description stated +90 or +80, but the value you actually got on your character was only 40 or 45.I agree, but my argument is simply that when you start a new game you kinda have more stamina regen than when you start to progress. Changing regen from +1 to +1% would keep the regen the same when the pool gets larger and more stamina is being used with tougher enemies.

On a different note, I checked out the two new dungeons and they are pretty cool. The keys for each are not easy to see, but at least they are in the most appropriate location and not at the end of a tunnel buried under rubble, which is what I was fearing to be true.
The saving/loading system is fucking awesome now as well. I haven't turned on autosaves yet, but I think I'm going to because its not 10 second freeze anymore. Its nearly instant.
The weather is very cool and even seems an improvement over the demo (at least for the rain). The snow is even better with a real feel of being outside in the snow with the sounds and everything. And when the snow melts or after the rain stops there are water puddles everywhere and running thru them actually sounds like I'm running thru a water puddle.
I think the main issue with enemies right now is that they can spawn too high of a level for the player even when decently geared up. A person shouldn't be running into a level 60 wasp within 5 minutes on a new character. But since these things don't ever change it is likely that teh dev doesn't have a way to alter their level based on player level. It sure would be nice to be able to see some stats without having to engage in combat first. I mean I can dodge and run away if it looks too high, but when I can get one shotted that is an incredible risk each time.
But yea, this stamina is balls. Especially now with the Hot debuff and Scorching debuff so commonly placed on the player now. But like you said, I keep stamina potions on me at all times now and I do like having the need to make them and use them.
Parrying is still broken and now so is Birth skill. So I find no reason to turn on pregnancy after Isabel's quests. This was a little disappointing.
Its also a struggle to raise Deviancy with this new system. I like the idea of a mini game to struggle with, but I think this struggle is too much and likely not intended. Just like everything else that gets implemented it probably just doesn't work correctly right now.
I can't get the Archdemon to take the bait and fuck me, but that may be because I'm only level 21. The grit system was replaced, but I think there is still some reference to grit so I'm assuming that level disparity still plays a role. Grit used to max at level 27 so if I cannot engage with the Archdemon by then I'll assume its either not impleneted yet or its broken. Haven't seen anyone in discord specifically complain about that so who knows.
Also also, did you know your character can perform a super gliding jump? I call it the flying squirrel for obvious reasons. I discovered this in 8.5.9, but only fairly recently because it kept happening and I finally figured out what was causing it. While sprinting forward (holding shift) if you jump or double jump then release the shift button immediately after you release the jump button your character glides for a while like gravity was reduced significantly. The key is releasing the shift button. This means you can also do this without sprinting, but just running and after you jump you have to tap the shift button, not hold it as it is the release of the shift button that activates the glide. Good for shorter glides I guess like maybe around your base where you may not have room accommodate that distance. I've been using this a lot and its quite fun. However, since it carries you farther it also makes it harder to judge elevation of your landing and I died once from being too careless. Still... its kinda fun.
