So there's a few distinct fetishes or more appropriately terms that focus on extra-marital affairs, the differences between each of them are actually fairly important and mostly have some correlation to the use of humiliation. So in order of most involving humiliation to least involving humiliation I will attempt to clarify here. Please bear in mind that these are not strictly defined kinks and the list is more meant to illustrate the nuances between rather than present a solid definition (which simply doesn't exist.)
Cuckoldry: When one partner (the "hotwife") actively seeks out or finds new sexual partners (called "bulls" without their partners (the "cuckold") willful permission or "consent". Cuckoldry leans heavy on domination and humiliation with the cuckolded partner often being degraded and derided for their inability to properly sexually satisfy their dominant partner.
Slutwifing: When one partner actively seeks out new sexual partners for their partner as a form of sexual domination. A kind of reversal of cuckoldry where the erstwhile "cuckold" is instead the dominant partner, pushing the submissive partner (or slutwife) to have multiple extra-marital sexual encounters as a form of humiliation and domination. This is the kind of relationship this game is portraying.
Hotwifing: Not too dissimilar from Cuckoldry, the key difference here is that the cuckold is no longer being actively degraded or humiliated. This distinction is a little semantic however, the term "hotwife" applies to most dominant female partners in these arrangements, however it's important to draw a line between enjoying the idea that your partner has an active sexual life outside your relationship because you enjoy the idea of your partner receiving pleasure and because you get off on the idea that you are in whatever way "lesser" than you ought to be.
From here we get various other kinks and fetishes that play into polyamory in their own ways, Swinging, Polyamory proper, and so on, but from here the humilation aspect is diminished or lost entirely so they stray so far away from cuckoldry that they become irrelevant to this conversation. There are of course inversions of each of these with their own terms for example; Cuckqueening is precisely the same as Cuckoldry except the cuckolded partner is a woman (the "cuckqueen" of course), the husband is referred to as a Hothusband, and his extra-marital partners are called "cuckcakes," although I would like to point out that there is less an emphasis on humiliation within that community and thus bears more in common with the hotwifing distinction than tradition cuckoldry. It is also important to note that of course, these ideals exist in same sex relationships as well, though terminology doesn't seem to change too much (except for where they are gendered of course.)
I'm hoping this clears up some of the confusion I've seen in this thread, confusion that is no doubt being exacerbated by the tags used, unfortunately these terms largely being relegated to use only within the cuckolding community doesn't help the people who see "NTR", "Cheating", or "Cuckold" in a list of tags for a porn game and then decide that means they need to comment on how disinterested in the game they are because of it.
